George A. Romero's "The Amusement Park" June 10 at Vidiots

THE AMUSEMENT PARK, George A. Romero’s groundbreaking, 45-minute “lost” film from 1975, becomes an original graphic novel on June 10 when Storm King Comics releases John Carpenter Presents George A. Romero’s THE AMUSEMENT PARK, an all-new artistic interpretation of the unique film.

John Carpenter Presents George A. Romero’s THE AMUSEMENT PARK will be available for purchase online, at comic book stores, and at book sellers on June 10. 

Long thought to be lost, and originally conceived as a public service announcement, THE AMUSEMENT PARK is a surreal, haunting commentary on ageism and society’s treatment of the elderly, wrapped in Romero’s signature horror style. The George A. Romero Foundation, which is dedicated to honoring the life and preserving Romero’s work, restored the film as one of its first projects, and discovered the result met with widespread critical acclaim.

Storm King Comics PAUSE

For seemingly no reason, and with no advance warning, the world comes to a stop for everyone except one man, who goes on a mission to uncover the mystery in PAUSE, a new six-issue comics series from John Carpenter’s Tales of Science Fiction, an imprint of Storm King Comics.

Issue No. 1 of John Carpenter’s Tales of Science Fiction — PAUSE will debut exclusively in comic book stores on February 26, 2025, with subsequent issues available monthly through July.

SDCC 2024: Storm King Comics Comes to SDCC

Every day during Comic-Con, Storm King will offer a highly limited, free SDCC-exclusive mini-poster that showcases a stunning piece of artwork created by comics artist Trevor Denham for The Killing Hole, the newest graphic novel from Storm King’s Dark & Twisted imprint. Titled “Back to 1979,” it’s a must-have for every Gen X horror fan. Only 125 posters will be available; each day, the first 25 visitors to the Storm King booth will receive a copy of this deeply nostalgic and evocative image.

NYCC 2023: Storm King Comics Panels

The times we live in are terrifying enough, so creators of horror stories across different media have a challenge to out-scare the headlines. Storm King Comics founder and horror legend Sandy King Carpenter will lead a panel discussion about the topic as part of New York Comic-Con, the comics publisher announced today.

In addition, King Carpenter will hold a special hourlong exploration of the origins, impact and future of Storm King Comics as the publishing house celebrates its first 10 years, sharing insight into her work with longtime partner and iconic horror director John Carpenter.

SDCC 2018: Storm King Comics Joins the Party

Ghastly and Indiefab award-winning comic publisher Storm King Comics is exhibiting for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con (Booth #4504). To celebrate, they have a list of festivities including signings, a panel, and a special preview night offer. This year’s con is extra important as it is also the official launch for the new Storm King comic release John Carpenter’s Tales of Science Fiction: The Standoff.
