Miku Martineau (Kate) portrays a young Philippa Georgiou.

CCXP Brazil: Paramount+ Reveals Trailer for STAR TREK: SECTION 31

Paramount+ today revealed the official trailer for its original movie STAR TREK: SECTION 31 during the Paramount+ presentation at CCXP in São Paolo, Brazil. The movie will premiere on Friday, January 24, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and international markets where the service is available. The official key art for the highly anticipated movie was also revealed.

In the movie, Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou – a character she played in STAR TREK: DISCOVERY’s first season – who joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.

Star Trek: Discovery – Adventures in the 32nd Century

Comic book and graphic novel publisher IDW today announces that The United Federation of Planet’s far-flung future will be further explored in a new four-issue miniseries, Star Trek: Discovery – Adventures in the 32nd Century, based on the wildly popular series streaming on Paramount Plus.

The new series reunites co-writers Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, whose previous collaboration on Star Trek: Discovery comics included The Light of Kahless, Succession, and Aftermath. The authors are joined by artist Angel Hernandez, celebrated by fans for his work on Star Trek / Green Lantern: The Spectrum War and, most recently, Star Trek: Manifest Destiny.

SDCC 2021: Playmates Toys Returns To The Star Trek Universe

Playmates Toys and ViacomCBS Consumer Products today announced that ViacomCBS has awarded the global toy company with the licensing rights for action figures, vehicles and ships, role play and other toy categories for all Star Trek properties. Playmates will launch its new Star Trek toy line in 2022, following Star Trek’s entry into kids’ content with the premiere of Star Trek: Prodigy, the first Star Trek series aimed at younger audiences.
