IDW Publishing is proud to debut Rom: Dire Wraiths, a three-part comic book miniseries about Earth’s incomparable heroes – the astronauts whose mission among the stars brought them face-to-face with the Dire Wraiths, the shape-shifting scourge of the universe!
Written by Chris Ryall, the mastermind behind IDW’s Rom comic book renaissance, and gorgeously illustrated by Luca Pizzari (Marvel’s Weapon X), the Dire Wraiths story is guaranteed to be a creepy tale of a secret alien invasion happening on a rocky satellite 240,000 miles from home!
They made it past the initial nail-biting part of the journey, with a speedy liftoff from Merritt Island. They were thrown left and right against their straps in spasmodic little jerks as they rode into orbit and steered insanely fast into space. But that would not be the biggest challenge they would face. As they set foot on the moon, they found something inhuman waiting for them, ready to hitch a ride back to Earth! With Rom the Spaceknight seemingly nowhere in sight, only a handful of intrepid astronauts can prevent one giant leap for Dire Wraith-kind!

Star Trek: Voyager Returns to Comics
IDW Publishing is proud to announce the first-ever comic book foray of the starship Voyager into the Mirror Universe under the license of CBS Consumer Products! This October, the Star Trek: Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke one-shot serves as the first of several excursions into the realm of dark doppelgängers, followed in time by one-shots focused on The Original Series and Deep Space Nine, respectively.
Written by Paul Allor (G.I. Joe) with painted art by Star Trek fan-favorite J.K. Woodward (illustrator of the beloved Mirror Broken storyline), Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke introduces Captain Janeway of the Voyager, a rebel ship stranded in the Delta Quadrant, far from the ruins of the Terran Empire. When Janeway crowns herself Pirate Queen of the Quadrant, the locals – including scavengers Neelix and Kes – won’t give up without a fight. Amid this conflict, the crew of the Voyager has a second problem on their hands: just who is the Terran calling herself Annika Hansen, and can she be trusted?

IDW's Rocketeer Reborn
The Rocketeer, the pulp-inspired hero immortalized by the late, great Dave Stevens, blasts off once more in December with the first issue of a brand-new five issue IDW series: Rocketeer Reborn!
Writers Elsa Charretier and Pierrick Colinet (collaborators on Star Wars Adventures and The Infinite Loop) and artist Javier Pulido (Human Target, Hawkeye) reintroduce an all-new jetpack wearing hero into the 21st century.

Now, decades later, The Rocketeer is all but forgotten to most people, a legend of a bygone era. When Cliff’s jetpack is found in a most unexpected way, it’s a race for those with good and evil intent to grab hold, strap on, and take off for adventure!

Prepare to beam up and roll out this September with Star Trek vs. Transformers, a four-issue comic book crossover that is more than meets the eye and is inspired by the continuities of two iconic cartoon shows: Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973) and The Transformers (1984).Two of the most prolific Transformers and Star Trek comic book writers -- John Barber and Mike Johnson -- team with artist Philip Murphy and colorist Leonardo Ito to tell the story that fans have demanded for decades. At the edge of Klingon space, the Enterprise answers a distress call, discovering a dilithium mine under siege by jets and helicopters of vintage 20th Century design. Elvis Returns in Bubba Ho-Tep and the Cosmic Blood-Suckers
Hail to the King, baby! Prior to the events of the original Bubba Ho-Tep cult story, Elvis was enlisted by President Nixon to defeat an alien threat unlike anything he’s faced before. IDW and award-winning writer Joe R. Lansdale present Bubba Ho-Tep and the Cosmic Blood-Suckers!
“Bubba Ho-Tep was an accidental story that turned out to be my first film adaptation, and it's still going strong in story and film,” said Lansdale. “And finally, it has inspired a background story that was first a novel, and is now represented in the medium that first made me want to be a writer: comics. Graphic novels. What we used to call Funny Books. I'm excited and looking forward to readers discovering it all in color and looking fine. May more Bubba comics burst into existence and give the world the true story of how the world has been protected from evil, and for quite some time. Thank goodness these defenders are out there, working in the shadows.”

Godzilla Goes To Hell
Just like Jason before him, all great thundering lizards who occasionally lay waste to Asian cities must eventually pay for their crimes against humanity. Sure, defeating a monster hell bent on the apocalypse now and again has spared our pal Godzilla for some time, but what of those times he hit the city just for the sake of fu**ing sh*t up? It's time for Godzilla to go to hell.
In over six decades of battles and triumphs, Godzilla has never faced a challenge as great as what’s coming his way this July, when Godzilla goes to hell! In Godzilla in Hell, a five-issue miniseries launching in July, Godzilla will storm through the gates of hell itself, proving that the towering behemoth is King Of The Monsters both above and below!
With no warning and no sign of salvation, Godzilla is plummeted to the deepest, darkest bowels of the infernal kingdom. The mystery of what led to Godzilla’s damnation, and what it will face, will take readers on a dark and twisted journey unlike any Godzilla story before!

Ladies and Gentlemen...The X-Files Returns
After 13 years of 'Believing" ...and hoping..and praying...and legions of folks writing some really crazy sexually charged fan fiction, THE X-FILES RETURNS!!! Entertainment Weekly broke the word that The X-Files is returning with Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) in tow for a 6 episode mini-series..sometime...in the future. Shooting starts this Summer.
IDW has been cranking out a wildly popular comic book series for some time now, thrusting the supernatural mystery hunting FBI agents we know and love back into the spotlight. Gillian Anderson has even hit the floor of San Diego Comic-Con to greet fans and assure us she is still..100%..completely awesome (and still hot). With the success of Fox's 24 mini-series and genre subjects dominating the television landscape, there is no better time to bring back a series that probably influenced much of what we love to watch today.

Cronenberg’s THE FLY Saga Continues at IDW
The Future! Yay!! We rule the world...Bla bla bla. I've said all this 100 times. It's getting to the point where the resurrection of any property I've loved in the past would not surprise me, so IDW announcing they are continuing the film story of The Fly, while completely out of left field and 100% freaking awesome, doesn't shock me so much. I am spoiled.
The story that began in David Cronenberg's film update of The Fly continues here with a five-issue miniseries The Fly: Outbreak written by Brandon Seifert (Hellraiser, Witch Doctor) with painted interior and cover art by menton3 (Silent Hill, Monocyte). Issue one will hit in March and will boast variant covers by Jason Edmiston and Lukas Ketner.
