NYCC 2024: NECA's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles FOREVER!!

We make up for the lack of news over this mini holiday break by diving back into New York Comic Con coverage I totally forgot about. Hey..it happens when people slide you 100's of images from events, you get 30 press releases a day, and your own backlog of images to edit is DISGOOOSTIN. Also, my brain doesn't cooperate so...PICTURE PARTY! NECA have been fulfilling every wish a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan could possibly have...including mine that started with Ice Cream Cat and ends with the Super Psychic Chicken. New York Comic Con showed they would hold back NOTHING with new figures from the Adventures comics, the OG cartoon series, the modern Last Ronin comics annnd my favorite, the 2012 CGI show. Bless their dorky hearts.

NYCC 2024: Hallmark's Newest from Star Wars, Bridgerton, Yellowstone & More

YES..WE ARE BACK AT NEW YORK COMIC CON 2024!! Just found a whoooole bunch of images we never got to for whatever autistic reason that happened, so screw it..back in we go. News is news, and there are sure to be very few press releases coming through over the Thanksgiving break! We've got the Hallmark NYCC panel slideshow and a virtual PILE of images from the booth itself, so let's get to it.

NYCC 2024: Diamond Select Official Pictures of Marvel, Star Wars and More

New York Comic-Con is behind us, but people are still buzzing over everything that was shown off at the Diamond Select Toys/Gentle Giant LTD booth and panel! From such licenses as Avatar, D&D, Marvel and Star Wars, the company showed off Gallery Dioramas, Mini-busts, action figures and statues, and some of them won’t be out until Summer of 2025! NYCC 2024: Bandai Has All Your Anime Favorites

You want Deku from My Hero Academia in his ultimate lone superhero form? They got it. You want the crazy homicidal pale kaiju from Kaiju No8? He's waiting for ya! Along with Marvel Movie Superheroes, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z and more... Bandai took their usual large slice of real estate and wowed action figure fans on the floor of New York Comic Con. John J Galbo was there, fighting his way through legions of sultry Harley Quins and pelvic thrusting Deadpools to bring us all that plastic goodness. We've got the info tags along with pics of the figures on display, so all the data you'll need for pre-orders is right at your fingertips. 

NYCC 2024: TRACTION PARK MASSACRE Trailer Premieres

Fresh from their panel at this year’s New York Comic Con conference, Terror Twins, LLC has shared the official trailer for the upcoming feature film, “Traction Park Massacre,” which premiered over the weekend at Fangoria.

The film is an ode to ‘80s slasher movies, along with genre classics, like “Evil Dead 2,” “Friday the 13th,” “Killer Klowns from Outer Space,” et al, inspired by the legendary amusement and water park, Action Park. Co-directed and written by Adam Dubin (Murder at the Front Row, A Year And A Half In The Life Of Metallica) and Douglas diMonda, who both visited the park in 1983.

NYCC 2024: Trashumanism Tabletop Role Playing Game

Austin-based artist Le Destroy took New York Comic Con 2024 by storm with the exciting announcement of “Trashumanism: The Tabletop Role Playing Game.” Expanding her bold, multimedia universe that already includes an album and graphic novel of the same name. This thrilling new addition promises to immerse fans even deeper into the Trashumanism experience.

NYCC 2024: Nickelodeon's MAX & THE MIDKNIGHTS Makes its Debut

Nickelodeon’s Max & the Midknights creator, voice cast, and co-executive producers gave fans at New York Comic Con a first-look at the CG-animated series, Max & the Midknights, which makes its television debut on Wednesday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT. The series received an initial pick up of 20 episodes across two seasons, with season two (10 episodes) premiering in 2025.

Appearing together for the first time, the voice of Max, Blu del Barrio (Star Trek: Discovery), and the voice of Simon, Zeno Robinson (Transformers: EarthSpark) were joined by creator and best-selling author Lincoln Peirce and co-executive producers David Skelly and Sharon Flynn on a panel. A surprise for fans attending the panel, the voice of Kevyn, Caleb Yen (Beyblade X), also joined the group onstage. Together the panelists shared insight into the development and creation of the show.

NYCC 2024: Prime Video Announces Cast for Video Game Anthology Series Secret Level

Today, Prime Video announced the official cast for its highly anticipated adult-animated anthology series, Secret Level, from Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, during its New York Comic-Con series panel. Secret Level features original stories set within the worlds of some of the most beloved video games. Secret Level will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide, with two weekly episode drops, starting on December 10.

NYCC 2024: Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature!

Today DC announced the new five-issue comic book series Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature! by creators Tim Seeley and Mitch Gerads (on the Vigilante story), and Rex Ogle and Matteo Lolli (on the Eagly story), with James Gunn as story consultant. Set between seasons one and two of Max Original series Peacemaker, the comic will give fans and readers a taste of where the hit television show will go in 2025…with two of its fan-favorite characters!

In DC’s upcoming Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature! comic book series (Ages 17+), Peacemaker “stars” in two in-world stories with his two best friends—Eagly and Vigilante! Each storyline picks up right where the Max Original show ended…with Peacemaker missing!

NYCC 2024: Dynamite's Vampirella Hits Milestone

The Daughter of Drakulon is celebrating another huge historic moment, as she comes up on Vampirella #675! Dynamite is excited to announce this celebratory milestone special release, with another essential chapter in the long-running epic run by the legendary Christopher Priest, a set of show-stopping variant covers, and more as the march to #700 continues!

Following the status quo-shattering events of "The Dark World" story arc (issues #671-674), Vampirella's analyst Doc Chary is brought before a review board to explain his conduct with his bizarre patient. NYCC 2024: New Star Wars: Jedi Knights Comic Series Announced

Yesterday, at the Lucasfilm Publishing: Star Wars: Stories From a Galaxy Far, Far Away Panel at New York Comic Con, fans learned about an all-new ongoing comic series coming this March: STAR WARS: JEDI KNIGHTS!

Marvel’s first series focusing on the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy will be brought to you by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter and acclaimed Star Wars comics writer Marc Guggenheim (Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca, Star Wars: Yoda) and drawn by rising star artist Madibek Musabekov (Star Wars, X-Men Red).

NYCC 2024: Shudder Previews 2025 Film Slate

Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, previewed its highly anticipated 2025 film lineup during a special panel at New York Comic Con 2024. The event, titled "Shudder is here to Scare the S*** Out of You," was led by Shudder’s VP of Programming, Samuel Zimmerman, and featured a distinguished group of horror industry talents including actors David Dastmalchian and Devon Sawa, musician and director Flying Lotus, actor and director Kate Siegel, and director Tina Romero. During the panel, Shudder revealed several key updates: the upcoming release of DARK MATCH, a wrestling-themed horror film debuting on January 31, 2025, and a first-look teaser for the sci-fi horror feature ASH, set for theatrical release through RLJE Films and streaming on Shudder in 2025. Additionally, Shudder confirmed the greenlight for the highly anticipated eighth installment of the V/H/S franchise.

NYCC 2024: Herculoids Protect Their Planet In First Comic Series

Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products announce further details on the hotly anticipated comic book series starring The Herculoids with the all-star creative team of Tom Sniegoski and Craig Rousseau just in time for New York Comic Con.

Somewhere out in space live The Herculoids! Inspired by the beloved Hanna-Barbera animated cartoon series, it is a unique blend of science fiction and fantasy, taking the idea of a "space barbarian" family and pairing them with a colorful cast of giant pet "Herculoids." The crew is composed of father and leader Zandor, his wife Tara, and son Dorno team up with Zok the laser-shooting dragon, Igoo the rock ape, Tundro the rhinoceros, and the shape-shifting Gloop and Gleep. They all team up to protect their planet from sinister invaders just as wondrous and mysterious as them!

NYCC 2024: IDW Reveals New Logo

This year, IDW Publishing commemorated 25 years of award-winning comic book storytelling with a celebratory logo that was inspired by the company’s prestigious history. Now, IDW Publishing​ is embracing its next era with a bold new logo that represents the energy and innovation within the company as it looks to the next 25 years of entertainment. 

NYCC 2024: Jason Aaron and Mahmud Asrar on BUG WARS

The superstar team of writer Jason Aaron (Southern Bastards, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Absolute Superman) and artist Mahmud Asrar (Conan the Barbarian, X-Men, Batman & Robin) join forces for the upcoming series, Bug Wars. The extra-length first issue of this six issue, dark fantasy, epic miniseries is set to debut in February 2025 from Image Comics.

Aaron and Asrar will appear on the "Image Comics Presents: Breaking Ground" panel on Sunday, October 20 @ 11 a.m. in room 406.2 at New York Comic Con this week to share more details about the announcement. They can also be found in Artist Alley at tables H42 (Aaron) and D24 (Asrar) where a limited number of Bug Wars ashcans will be available for sale.

NYCC 2024: New Cases of Judy & Nick in Dynamite's ZOOTOPIA

The Disney line from Dynamite Entertainment debuts a massive new series to start 2025, as Zootopia finds its way into an ongoing comic book series for the first time ever. Fan-favorite writer Jeff Parker and artist Alessandro Ranaldi invite fans to return to the magical anthropomorphic world of Zootopia each month starting in January!

It’s another beautiful day in the bustling city of Zootopia, where every animal is free to strive to realize their full potential — and one of the most successful among the pack is Tripp Zebrando, owner of the PB&J cell phone company. NYCC 2024: Fanhome Promises An Expansive Display at Comic Con

NYCC 2024: SilverHawks' Space Adventures Start in 2025

Another one of the most beloved animated classics of the 1980s makes a triumphant return through comics for 2025, as Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products announce a SilverHawks series lifting off in January 2025 with Ed Brisson and George Kambadais.

Announced alongside New York Comic Con almost one year after Dynamite unveiled ThunderCats coming to comics, the sister series joins in the fun! ThunderCats led by writer Declan Shalvey and artist Drew Moss is not even a full year into its run, yet has made a massive impact in the industry and with fans. Its kickoff set a high mark as Dynamite's highest seller in company history, and has kept its momentum with character introductions, new story arcs, spinoffs, and more.
