Toy Fair 2014: WowWee Elektrokidz, Robots, Robot Zombies & Once Upon a Zombie Dolls

We are closing in on the start of New York International Toy Fair, so we'll be making a big push to square away all the footage we've gotten abroad! Next up, we take a look at WowWee's displays at UK Toy Fair.

Let's do this Wedding Day style, starting with something old; namely WowWee's RobotZombie!

A renegade Zombie virus has infected the robot world, pitting robots against their former human controllers! As one of the last remaining robot controllers, it's up to you to fight back and defeat the hordes of mechanical menaces!

RobotZombie™ is on the prowl searching for new victims to infect. Use your Zombie Blaster to fire at RobotZombie™ and hit the weak points to blast off his arms and cranium plate, exposing his light-up brain! Better defeat him quickly, however, otherwise the infection will spread, and then it's game over! Once defeated, RobotZombie™ is yours to control! Use the Zombie Blaster to command his movements while he makes robotic zombie sounds!

RobotZombie Features:

Light up eyes and robotic zombie sounds!
Use the Zombie Blaster to control RobotZombie™ directly in Controller mode or blast him apart in Infection mode!
Blast away his arms and cranium plate to expose the light-up brain to defeat RobotZombie™!
Includes a Zombie Blaster and Three Foam Darts

Now we shift to something new with MiP:

Meet MiP™, Your New Robot Friend!

Equipped with GestureSense™ technology, any hand motion controls MiP™. Using its free app, you can drive it, play games & more all while MiP™ balances on two wheels! Shipping Spring 2014.

It’s the year of the MiP™. Perched atop unique dual wheels, this multifunctional and autonomous robot is more than just a toy. Powered an iOS or Android smartphone, your eyes will light up at what MiP™ can do. Thanks to our innovative equipment, MiP™ responds to motions, be it your hand or an object. Effortless navigation, MiP™ is always trying to please! Your new buddy likes to have fun, and invites you to join. Show some praise, and MiP™ will be your new best friend, but push it down, and you’re in for an angry robot! Not only does MiP™ offer tons of gameplay fun, but there’s also an app that enables you to drive, dance, battle, balance, and so much more.

We've also got a little guy named Noomie which I presently have noooo info on.

For something borrowed, we go to WowWee's Elektrokidz, where it seems the designers have co-opted the Wish Troll design and made something fairly...interesting...

The first ever music-inspired figurines that dance to the beat of the music you are listening to!

There are 6 unique Elektrokidz™ that come in 6 different finishes, including black matte and shiny gold. Each Elektrokidz™ figurine has its own special hair movement that rocks out to the beat. No two Elektrokidz™ dance the same, so collect them all for the complete party!

And last, we have something blue, which is sometimes the skin color of someone recently deceased. In the case of WowWee's Once Upon a Zombie, it's a little more grey. Fine..we were stretching. I'm tired. Sue me.

Something mysterious has happened to the Classic Fairytale Princesses...

A secret curse has been cast upon their fantasy world, turning them into supernatural Zombies!  Now it’s time for these Zombie Princesses to Rise, Empower, and Claim Their World Back!

Series one included Little Mermaid, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Belle. We spotted some concept boards at last October's New York Comic Con that promise Deluxe versions of each of the 6 original dolls (packed with a second outfit) and new character additions of Peter Pan, Prince Charming, Pocahontas, Tenika and Tinker Bell.
