Onto Hasbro!
Our buddy Remy AKA The Ultimate Toy Collector who is going to explain the gimmick behind the basic Hasbro 6 inch action figure line and why each character pack comes with an Infinity Stone:
**UPDATE** We've got larger official pics of most of the line now, so rather than piss Google's web crawlers off, we'll post them below and leave the ones above alone.
The Marvel Avengers: Infinity War Hero Vision Iron Man AR Experience premiered right before Toy Fair, but was not available to purchase yet. The “AR Experience” is provided by a phone booted up with an Android / iOS app. You're basically wearing a VR headset but with a phone strapped in. Each of the 6" basic Marvel Avengers: Infinity War Hero Vision action figures comes with an "Infinity Stone". The stones get scanned into the phone and each adds a unique game play feature. You then snap the "Stones" into the "Gauntlet" that comes with an Iron Man mask and point at whatever you want to destroy. The "AR Experience" allows you to set up targets around your environment and go through several levels of game play.
Early cases of the basic figures which include the Infinity Stones have been found to include Thor, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Captain America, and Iron Man. There's also a second case with Hulk and a two pack of Rocket Raccoon and Teen Groot. Rounding things out, you'll find e a deluxe Iron Man vs Thanos Battle Pack.
We'll note that, while these are "basic figures", which do not utilize extreme articulation, sculpt and paint applications we see in the more expensive Marvel Legends line, there might be some stand-outs among them you'll want to snap up...once we know who isn't getting their own Legend figure! I'm looking at you Teen Groot!! People might even pop that basic Black Widow head onto the Legends body.
I'll also point out that, in the Battle Pack, we see Thanos in full armor...something we'll see repeated in the LEGO sets and the costume mask. Does this absolutely mean we'll see him battle in his full armor? Of course not, but three products with this look are a safe bet we may see it happen in the film! I mean..hell...
**UPDATE** Here's the mission Vision Iron Man Helmet and wordage on what it does:
Battle like Iron Man with the Hero Vision Iron Man AR Experience! This movie-inspired, 1:1 scale mask features a brand-new experience from Hasbro that combines traditional role play with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Download the HERO VISION app, place a compatible device (see apps.hasbro.com for compatibility) inside the AR goggles, place AR markers around the play area, put on the AR mask, and then get ready to see digital images from the hero’s world in front of kids’ eyes. Collect Infinity Stones sold separately to unlock power-ups in the App. Includes AR mask, AR goggles, AR gauntlet, three AR markers, and one Infinity Stone
Includes Hero Vision Iron Man AR mask, AR goggles, gauntlet, 3 AR markers, Infinity Stone, and instructions.
Let's continue on into the first Marvel Legends Infinity War 6 inch action figure wave which includes Captain America, Iron Man, Iron Spider (Spider-Man in his new suit), Proxima Midnight (child of Thanos), and comic versions (who are not in the movie) of Songbird, Taskmaster and King Cobra. All but Iron Man contain pieces of the Build-A-Figure Thanos!
And here's a look at Wave 2, from Kotaku! We've got movie versions of Ant-Man, Wasp, Black Widow and Thor, comic versions of Black Knight and Malekith and a Build-A Figure Cull Obsidian (also a child of Thanos!)
**UPDATE** Multi Figure Packs!! Hitting stores right....meow...you'll find a Scarlet Witch and Vision 2 pack, and a Thor, Rocket Raccoon and Groot 3 pack as Toys R Us exclusives, and a Bucky and Falcon 2 pack Exclusive to Target.
The inexpensive Titan figure line will feature a Power FX gimmick with interchangeable backpacks that allow for electronics (with sound effects and lines from the characters), weapons and even Iron Spider's robot appendages!! Again, this does not 100% mean we'll see them in the movie, but we can hope for a quick cameo in a later battle. We've got the basic Titan figures with Black Widow, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Hulk, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Thanos and Teen Groot, and deluxe packs that come with the back attachments including Iron Spider, Star-Lord and Thor (post eye patch).
Get a good look at the new hammer!
**UPDATE** Newer, better pics and more of them!! We'll also note that the second pic of Iron Spider using his mech spider legs has surfaced, so there's an 85% chance we'll see this in the movie.
A deluxe electronic Mission Tech Iron Man figure...
We'll also see a giant pile of role play items starting with NERF Assembler Gear for Captain America, Hulk, Iron Spider and Star-Lord...
The obligatory Hulk Hands...
**UPDATE** Here's Thor's new hammer... Stormbreaker!! Note that the button that activates the sounds is a leaf, which suggests the handle most likely came from Groot. Maybe a stretch...mayyyybe not!
And finally, an Infinity Gauntlet to suit everyone in the family, with a squishy gauntlet for the little one, an electronic version for kids a wee bit older and a deluxe version so Mom can lord over her subservients at the next business meeting...
LEGO will not be left behind in this mega-blockbuster moment!! We'll use this opportunity to again warn you of spoilers, as just about everything we see in LEGO sets USUALLY makes it to the big screen...and there's so much to see here!
We've got 6 sets coming for Avengers: Infinity War including...
76101 Outrider Dropship Attack
76102 Thor's Weapon Quest
76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack
76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up
76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle
76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown
Speculating on the city in the background. It's likely Wakanda, but what if it's Attilan, home of the Inhumans? Na...it's probably Wakanda.
You'll note the rings in the background of a couple of pictures. Most likely how Thanos' forces invade.
Note that it's Banner hopping out of the Hulkbuster Armor!!
And some insight into how Thor gets his new weapon... seems it's Infinity Stone charged!
Surely Halloween is going to be an awesome time to be a Marvel Super Hero...or villain! Here's a look at some costume pieces to make you a moderate-budget mad titan...
**UPDATE** Funko joins the Avengers Infinity War toy frenzy! Here's there Pop Figure lineup for the upcoming film...
