During SDCC, our buds at Kotaku got the first word on a Green Lantern set...packed with the obligatory Batman mini figure..because...reasons. Now we learn the full lineup for LEGO's DC Super Heroes includes:
76025 Green Lantern vs. Sinestro
76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas
76027 Black Manta Deep Sea Strike
76028 Darkseid Invasion
No doubt these sets answer our constant whines for more characters to populate our DC and Marvel Comics LEGO Minifigure universes, respectively, but more than likely, they'll answer the clarion call for merchandise following the release of the video game "Batman 3: Beyond Gotham", which promises to include a hefty roster of DC's baddest of the bad, and most heroic, due out this Fall. Generally, new LEGO sets hit JUST AT or JUST AFTER the holiday season, so keep watching as the reveals sneak up on us!

ReplyDeleteI don't have any more official into that what we posted, but we can probably figure out what MIGHT be in each box. Gorilla Grodd's main foe is The Flash, so that's a given. Black Manta fights Aquaman. I feel like those will be the two small sets, seeing as how the Green Lantern set has a mid range build and 3 figures confirmed. Darkseid Invasion is sure to be the big set, possibly containing 5 figures..Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Paradaemon and i'm betting Darkseid is more of a build up like Groot was, as they've been making him MASSIVE in the comics lately. No reason they should divert from that now. They would also be fighting in a city setting. What do you think will be in the boxes? I'm definitely no LEGO expert so I'd love to hear from the pros.

DeleteAlways reliable sources, otherwise we would mark it as rumor. The Lego news that's gone up is 100% on the money unless LEGO changes something before release, which in our experience, they never do.

DeleteIs there really that many people in the Darkseid sets that would be cool but i think its just a rumor but if really DC will make so much money i also heard a rumor of lego teen titans go sets two of them the first is said to have Robin,Cybrog.BeastBoy and Death Stroke (Slave) This set is suppose to be 30 0r 40 dollars The name Is Slave(Death Stroke) Vs Robin And the Second is to have Raven,Starfire and Trigon(Raven`s Dad) this set is suppose to be $20 The name is called Trigon Return Again just rumors but hopefully come true in 2015 or 2016

DeleteI've never seen LEGO put that many figs in one set. I can see getting all of the heroes, but I doubt seriously that we get the alter egos as well.
