BEA 2018: Insight Editions Builds, Dissects and Pops-Up with Marvel, DC, Harry Potter and More

You may have noticed we are bouncing around from event to event these days! There's so much going on in our area for a site like ours, we try to take advantage of every opportunity to show you new and awesome things that will fill your geekified hearts to overflowing! Book Expo is one of those events where we love to take the entire day to wander and carefully look over everything, as not to miss a single item you'll enjoy. This year's treasure hunt revealed many excellent new titles you'll want to put on your must read list, but one publisher in particular always guarantees a full slate of killer creations. Insight Editions offers a highly imaginative selection of titles from the worlds of Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Marvel Comics, Supernatural and more. This year, they set the bar slightly higher than usual...

Let's start with something a little out of the ordinary for a book publisher. INCREDIBUILDS! For the uninitiated, IncrediBuilds are freestanding wooden models that collectors can build and customize. The models come as one laser-cut FSC-certified wood sheet from which builders remove pieces and assemble via interlocking joints like a puzzle, requiring no glue or scissors. Age ranges for the titles span 8-up to 12-up, depending on the model.
