Todd McFarlane never misses an opportunity to remind fans why he’s one of the biggest names in toys and comics. At this year’s McFarlane Toys Panel, the legendary creator delivered a perfect blend of 1990s nostalgia and forward-thinking design; a celebration of art, action, and attitude.
The Elites: Legends Building Legends
McFarlane’s standout announcement was a shock to everyone sitting in the audience. He proudly introduced this new 7-inch figure line, bringing together the “Elite” founding fathers of Image Comics, united once more through sculpted storytelling. To help Todd make this announcement, his good friend Jim Lee stopped by to discuss this latest project.
Each artist will revisit their signature creation: Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, Jim Lee’s Spartan, Jim Valentino’s ShadowHawk, Rob Liefeld’s Prophet, Marc Silvestri’s Witchblade (Sara Pezzini), and Erik Larsen’s Savage Dragon. The line begins in January 2026 with Spawn leading the charge.
DC Multiverse and Page Punchers
Despite losing its license in a few months, McFarlane’s DC output continues to expand with both deep cuts and fan-favorite icons.
Hal Jordan and Jessica Cruz (Red Platinum) from Green Lanterns issue 48, and speedsters Jay Garrick (Red Platinum) and Jay Barry Allen from The Flash issue 123 will be released in Spring 2026. Each 7-inch figure will come with his or her iconic comic book.
Additionally, the latest DC Multiverse wave showcases McFarlane’s knack for character variety, from super-stretchy Elongated Man and vintage Blackhawk, to the unnervingly detailed Professor Pyg and founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, Cosmic Boy. Meanwhile, magic meets mystery in a Zatanna and Detective Chimp deluxe two-pack that clearly shows McFarlane’s deep respect for DC lore.
Marvel PVC Statues: Sculpted Storytelling
For Marvel fans, McFarlane Toys continues to prove it can balance dynamic action with artistic detail. The Marvel Rivals Posed PVC Statues bring these characters to life in 1:10th scale, with Captain America, Doctor Strange, Magneto, Thor, and the adorable chaos of Jeff the Landshark in action poses.
In addition, Marvel’s Posed PVC Comic Collection, arriving in January 2026, turns classic comic panels into 3D art:
* Doctor Strange from Strange Tales #128 channels mystical energy through the Eye of Agamotto.
* The Lizard and Spider-Man recreate their early encounters in Spider-Man #2 and #8, respectively.
* Juggernaut from Spider-Man #17 smashes through the streets, gripping a street sign labeled Cyan, which is a touching Easter egg named after McFarlane’s daughter.
* Gambit from X-Men #1 rounds out the wave, trench coat swirling, staff in hand, ready for the next fight.
Three decades after redefining what creator-owned comics could be, Todd McFarlane is still pushing boundaries, not just on the page, but on collectors’ shelves. McFarlane Toys’ 2026 lineup proves that great design never goes out of style, it just finds new ways to evolve.
