After years of perfecting his sound and playing alongside major names in the rock & pop worlds, Welsh Wolf (also known as Paul Freeman) releases his first single, “Wreck”, taking the Los Angeles music scene by storm. Produced and mixed by John Spiker (Filter, Beck, The Killers), the debut track comes after Freeman spent over a year tucked away in his studio meticulously crafting each song for his new EP.

Welsh Wolf will be unveiling “Wreck” LIVE at the iconic Bourbon Room in Hollywood, CA on October 4th. The electrifying and divergent single boasts the sounds of Welsh Wolf’s childhood that sparked his passion for music while also combining the melodic songwriting and hard-hitting moments that he has been known for as performer/songwriter Paul Freeman.

With the release of “Wreck”, Welsh Wolf is stepping into a new era for himself and his music. A serendipitous meeting with songwriter Cici Ward, led to a fast friendship and studio session that would eventually lead to an epiphany & the emergence of the authentic Welsh Wolf sound. “When “Wreck” was created, he instantly played it for me and I remember being blown away. He had found his signature sound! He let his guard down, followed his instincts and created this incredible piece of art where each element of the song complemented the other. This is what we both had been waiting for” explains manager, Jen Florez.

The fast paced tune takes inspiration from his early childhood idols such as T-Rex, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and Wings but with a distinctive twist which Welsh Wolf has created. From beginning to end, you can feel the invigorating sensation the song emits, and listeners can’t help but to feel immersed in the music and melodic lyrics.

After finding his first guitar atop a dumpster at the age of 10 in New South Wales, Welsh Wolf’s musical journey began as he taught himself how to play his favorite songs at the time. With determination and practice, he eventually found himself playing and writing for musical icons - playing guitar on Blunt’s recording of “You’re Beautiful,” writing a Top-40 Billboard hit for Sleeping with Sirens, and writing songs covered by Robbie Williams, Meat Loaf, and Mark Owen of Take That. He has landed incredible syncs over the years in films including "The Break-Up”, as well as, hit TV shows "Jessica Jones” and “Insatiable”.

Paul Freeman’s reentry into the music scene as his alter-ego Welsh Wolf is one to look out for. He is set to release his new EP in early 2025, giving fans the chance to uncover the layers of Welsh Wolf’s new chapter and his electrifying music that inspires listeners whether they’re blasting it in the car or watching him perform live on stage.
