Meet the Folks in Frankenweenie

When Tim Burton makes a stop motion animation (future) masterpiece, it isn't JUST about the main characters. Burton's canvas is filled with amusing sidekicks and rumple faced sour-pusses and all those individuals you'd meet on the street on any given day...Burtonized of course. Now Disney gives us a closer look at the cast of characters in Frankenweenie...

EDGAR “E” GORE (voiced by Atticus Shaffer)

Edgar “E” Gore is a needy misfit who doesn’t have friends but is desperate to be Victor’s partner for the science fair. In his attempts to be accepted ‘E’ tends to mess things up and often fails to think before he speaks. Even though ‘E’ promises not to tell Victor’s secret, he accidentally spills the beans.

Living Dead Dolls Series 24

Mezco continues their reign of the creepy cute doll planet with their mega popular Living Dead Dolls series! At Toy Fair, we saw their expansion into little cartoony figures which compliment the style while bringing a new format to the table. It's nice to see some evolution in the line and I'm sure new product is probably killer for the old school fans as well. This doesn't mean the original doll line that started it all has any signs of stopping. Today, we get a sneak preview of series 24 that is currently nameless. Mystereeeee...

Living Dead Dolls series 24 includes...

Beelzebub,
Agrat-Bat-Mahlaht
Andras
Xezberth
Yuki Onna

With names like that, I'm sure we are in for some insane designs! I could be wrong, but I'd swear that second to last guy is wearing a bee costume. Look for them September 2012.

Frankenweenie Creeping Closer to Theaters

Tim Burton fans...your days are numbered!! ..til the next Burton-tastic movie hits theaters, of course. Burton's tale of a boy and his dog with the obvious macabre twist is set to drop October 5th, 2012, but Disney is already starting to rev up their hype machines. The newest poster has dropped and it is everything you hoped it would be, no?

From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
