Prime Video Orders God of War Live-Action Series

Prime Video announces that it has ordered God of War to series. Co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios in association with PlayStation Productions, the live-action series is based on the critically acclaimed PlayStation video game by the same name, created by Santa Monica Studio. God of War will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. 

The series follows Kratos, the God of War, who, after exiling himself from his blood-soaked past in ancient Greece, hangs up his weapons forever in the Norse realm of Midgard. When his beloved wife dies, Kratos sets off on a dangerous journey with his estranged son to spread her ashes from the highest peak—his wife’s final wish. Kratos soon realizes the journey is an epic quest in disguise, one which will test the bonds between father and son, and force Kratos to battle new Gods and monsters for the fate of the world. 

Superhero Mystery NO/ONE Launching Podcast for Cross-Media Story

Superstar writers Kyle Higgins (Radiant Black, Nightwing), Brian Buccellato (Chicken Devil, Detective Comics), and rising star artist Geraldo Borges (Nightwing) bring fans a “true crime”-style superhero drama in the upcoming, NO/ONE. This all-new ten issue comic book maxiseries will join Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, Radiant Red, The Dead Lucky, Radiant Pink, Inferno Girl Red, and C.O.W.L. in the expanding shared Massive-Verse from Image Comics in March 2023.

James Gunn Addresses Internet Hate

Folks, let's be real for a minute. When Man of Steel came out, people were annoyed that the film didn't capture the more sunny tone of classic Superman comic stories. They kicked off the series with Superman murdering his on screen nemesis and it was A LOT to take in. Then came Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, a film with enough melodrama to match its bloated name, and a soundtrack that blared and screeched and literally screamed until my head was splitting. Batman unmercifully mowed down piles of thugs alongside a nonstop parade of DC's finest comic moments chopped up and smooshed into one film as if its creators were screaming IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT YOU NERDY BASTARDS??!! No... no...... absolutely not. It's not what we wanted. GRIM DARK, the fans chanted, and the "Martha" memes were neverending. In stark contrast, the one-paragraph-long plot of Wonder Woman was an absolute ray of sunshine and Gal Gadot's portrayal made fans (mostly) forget they'd been screaming for a more physically Amazonian actress.

CD PROJEKT RED presented a brand new teaser trailer for Phantom Liberty, the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 spy-thriller expansion, at The Game Awards 2022. The teaser features all new in-game and gameplay footage, and the reveal of a new cast member.

His eyes light up, his chest and head piece blinds and each finger moves in every direction an imaginative or juvenile mind could imagine. You've seen many pictures of this behemoth already, most of which depicted Galactus as a newly adopted child going on many, many suburban adventures (and conquering toilet challenges), as well as those all important video reviews, so we'll skip all that gushing and go right for the eye candy.

For me, the two highest points have been Ghostbusters and Scooby-Doo, which lent themselves exceptionally well to the redesign. Ghostbusters in particular had so much potential that I hope the crew will go back to the license and explore the Real Ghostbusters cartoon universe and their endless legions of ghosts, demons, and unforgettable legendary nightmares. IT'S ON MY WISH LIST! While these items are not on the schedule (so far), we did get a look at what's to come in the next few months at New York Comic Con 2022.

NYCC 2022: Good Omens Season 2 to Debut Summer 2023

Meghan Lee is running through New York Comic Con soaking up all the geek-loving every booth has to offer, and in between her hunt for newsworthy fun, she takes breaks sitting in on panels for her favorite TV and movie projects! This morning offered some precious moments with Neil Gaiman and the cast of Good Omens as they discussed the highs and pitfalls of exploring heaven and hell's legions. In attendance were Douglas Mackinnon, Rob Wilkins, Maggie Service, Nina Sosanya, Quelin Sepulveda, and, of course, Neil, himself.

NYCC 2022: Ghostrider's Engine of Vengeance @ Marvel

New York Comic Con is in full swing as we speak, with the largest geek-fest on the East Coast finding its sea legs in a post-Covid-lockdown world. While the vibe is said to be significantly different, the enthusiasm of fans hungry to celebrate their fandoms and visit with long-missed friends is evident in every corner of the massive halls. One such missed brother is Matt Booker of the UK based Fanthatracks.com, who sent in these pictures of the latest Hasbro Pulse funding project known as GHOST RIDER: ENGINE OF VENGEANCE. Quantum Mechanix Announces New "Adorkables" Product Line & Bat Family Return

Quantum Mechanix (QMx), creator of pop culture collectibles, unveiled a special variant of their fan-favorite Batman: Family Q-Master which features the Dark Knight surrounded by chibi-styled characters Damian Wayne, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson. This exclusive limited edition variant is called Batman: Family Classic Q-Master and has reimagined Batman in his classic blue outfit and unmasked the Red Hood on Batman's shoulder to reveal Jason Todd with a shock of white streaked in his hair. Hasbro, a global play and entertainment company, officially unveiled its programming slate of engaging fan experiences for Hasbro Pulse Con 2022 through a dynamic panel lineup themed to Hasbro’s iconic brands, including Marvel, Star Wars and Indiana Jones, plus exciting celebrity and influencer appearances. Available for FREE for adult fans in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Austria, Hasbro Pulse Con will be livestreamed exclusively on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube Channel on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. VGA Partners with Limited Run on Graded Video Game for Charity

Video Game Authority, a subsidiary of Collectible Grading Authority, is known for their work grading video games and consoles, from Atari to Xbox. Now, they’ve partnered with physical game publisher Limited Run Games to do what they do best – for charity!

The VGA’s latest project is a graded copy of Limited Run’s 2022 exclusive at Comic-Con International in San Diego, the Castlevania Anniversary Collection for the Nintendo Switch, in retro box packaging. Graded 90, the game is up for auction on eBay now, and 100% of the proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
