Originally serialized in Jump SQ. and Shonen Jump+ from 2017 to 2018, BLACK TORCH quickly gained popularity across Japan and international markets. Now, fans can look forward to seeing the world of ninjas and mononoke come to life on screen.

SDCC 2024: VIZ Takes The Stage with Ultraman, Devil's Candy, Rooster Fighter and... Spider-Man?!

VIZ Media had a highly successful presence at this year’s SDCC with two exciting panels. 

At the VIZ Media panel, thrilling news was unveiled that “Rooster Fighter,” everyone’s favorite cock created by Shu Sakuratani, is now in production for an anime adaptation. The story follows Keiji, a rooster with superhuman strength, as he defends the world from giant monsters known as “Demons.” With its high-octane action and comedic scenes, “Rooster Fighter” is one mother-clucker who delivers a showstopper. The series broadcast partner will be Adult Swim, with additional streaming partners to be announced.

The agreement establishes VIZ Media as the representative for worldwide streaming, TV, and EST, as well as Home Video (HV) and Merchandising outside of Japan. Meanwhile, HERO's INC. will manage EST, plus Home Video (HV) and Merchandising within Japan. Guaranteed to elicit deeper laughs than any upcoming comedy anime, "Rooster Fighter" is bizarre, absurd, and proudly boundary-blurring.
