Michael C. Hall as Daredevil?
Dexter as Daredevil. I like it! This one is, as yet, unconfirmed by official sources, but the rumor mill is churning and folks are buzzing about Michael C. Hall being considered for the role of Matt Murdock, the Man Without Fear for the upcoming Netflix series. We cobbled together a picture to see if Hall has what it takes to play the blind lawyer from Hell's Kitchen by day, masked crime fighter by night. What do you think?

The First Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teaser is HERE
Many things have lead up to this moment. Most of them involved us getting yelled at. Since the announcement of the Bay-tacular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 film, we've been told they are aliens..and then not. They've got beaks..and then not. It would star Megan Fox as April O'Neil....and then it did, and a lot of you threw a tantrum usually reserved for Hasbro not making the Marvel Legends they had promised. Now, after half a dozen leaks, and half a dozen more which we will call "leaks", we have seen the turtles and are for the most part, satisfied that their visage won't anger us and murder our childhood...so it's TIME FOR A TEASER!!!

The Toys R Us "Transformation" Strategy
And no..this has nothing to do with the new Transformers movie, which is totally what I thought when I first saw it...so you're in good company. For collectors, Toys R Us, the last survivor of the brick and mortar toy retailer wars, continues to be a constant source of frustration. Sold out items, frequent price bumps and few discounts make most trips disappointing, and certainly don't encourage one to revisit often. TRU is looking to change that...

Edge of Tomorrow's Official Trailer
Seems like we've been waiting forever for this one! It's a little Vanilla Sky...little Gears of War..little Matrixy...and if it strikes the right tone, I'm going to gush all over it. When Scifi is done in an intelligent way with humor and heart, you can't help but win.
The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again...and again.

Dexter’s Laboratory Returns at IDW
Through a partnership with Cartoon Network Enterprises, IDW Publishing has set about giving new life to the most beloved cartoons of the past two decades. Starting with Samurai Jack, The Powerpuff Girls, and Ben 10, the next Cartoon Network classic to join the acclaimed lineup is none other than Dexter’s Laboratory!
Created by Genndy Tartakovsky, Dexter’s Laboratory followed the adventures of a young genius savant whose brilliant inventions were tucked deep down in a secret laboratory away from his oblivious parents… but not his sabotaging sister. Facing off against rogue creations, arch nemeses, and his sister’s meddling, Dexter’s Laboratory was one of the most successful original cartoons on Cartoon Network.

The First Hercules Teaser Trailer
Ignore the vintage 80's title font. Ignore the silly shout at the end of the trailer. Ignore how odd The Rock looks with a beard. Just be happy there are actually MONSTERS in this particular Hercules film, unlike the last one, which looked like a young adult romance mixed with Gladiator. Of course, I'm not speaking from experience, not being a fan of YA films (ignore my forced Twilight reviews) and NOT having seen the previous film. Just making that clear. That is blind dislike, and I own it. For this particular Paramount picture, I have medium sized hopes. I do enjoy watching The Rock thump things...and I do enjoy monsters..but I also have flashbacks of the vacuous "Clash of the Titans" remake and the film marker's disdain for the cinematic magic that came before (ie; my Harryhausen youth) ..so I am hesitant. Cautious...and hesitant.

Adult Swim Renews Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell for Second Season
Adult Swim announced today the season two pickup of the original live-action workplace comedy Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell about Gary, an associate demon, as he attempts to capture souls on earth in order to climb the corporate ladder of the underworld. The show stars Matt Servitto (Banshee, The Sopranos) as “Satan,” Henry Zebrowski (Wolf of Wall Street) as “Gary,” and Craig Rowin (Night of Too Many Stars, @Midnight) as “Claude.”
Gary is too stupid, lazy, and kind-hearted to do his job well and is frequently stabbed in the back by his devious coworker, Claude. Plus, his boss Satan is immortal which means that management positions are unlikely to become available soon. There is low turnover in Hell. In season two, Gary learns how to appear on peoples’ shoulders to tempt them, we meet our first angel, and we find the answer to the question if there are women in Hell. (Yes.)

The Final Trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2
May 2nd. MAY 2nd!! So close, and yet so far away. It's going to be very interesting to watch the box office numbers for this one. If toy sales are any indication, die hard fans don't care much for this new incarnation of Electro, who is the main baddie in the latest film. Sort of throws a wrench into things, hm? Luckily, Sony have hedged their bets and added a new Green Goblin, and (from what I hear) a quick battle with Rhino to make sure fans have a lot to freak out about...and freak we did! This all paves the way for Sony's immersive Spidey-Universe, hoping to mirror some degree of success Marvel Studios has captured for their own cinematic universe, with Sinister Six and Venom films on the way. They've got the A talent crafting each film, but no win in Hollywood is assured until those dollar signs come rolling in. I'll be watching...but for now, we get to watch THE WHOLE DAMN CITY OF NEW YORK BLOW UP!!! ..because super heroes can't fight these days without wrecking the neighborhood, ya know?

Godzilla 2014....Revealed!...Again! Toys from JAKKS, Bandai, NECA & Diamond Select
Yes, anticlimactic..we know..and so do the toy companies...but it is an unfortunate situation. Back ...probably further than January, the toy world gave us the first, full, clear-as-all-get-out look at the giant lizard we know and loved in his somewhat tweaked look for the 2014 film from Legendary Pictures. Did this reveal cause executives to shout "The game is up! Since people have seen the toy already, let's show off the lot and bring more excitement to everyone's Toy Fair coverage!"?? Nope. Instead, Legendary held on tight through a plush and book reveal, more giant JAKKS figure reveals and finally an onslaught of in package shots of Bandai's line before someone at sales said "screw it" and spilled the lot to retailers online seconds before they turned up in stores. Keep in mind, you could buy them as of at least 3 weeks now...which makes it the perfect moment to reveal the JAKKS Giant Size Godzilla!! ...Timing is everything.

Journey Into MySpace
Like the great explorers before me, tonight, I seized the opportunity for adventure and traveled back some ..number of years...to relive the days when strangers in the same areas could hit on each other...when you could invite a thousand people to an event without ticking off little boxes for an hour...when the landscape was more than bands promoting their music to other bands. Tonight, I journeyed back to MySpace..and this is my story.

First Official Image Revealed of Matt Ryan as John Constantine
As production begins on the new pilot CONSTANTINE — from executive producers Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer and director Neil Marshall — NBC, Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment are today releasing the first official image of series star Matt Ryan in character as John Constantine.
“I’ve been a fan of John Constantine since he was first introduced in 1985. This Constantine, envisioned by Neil Marshall and embodied by Matt Ryan, looks like he sprang directly from the comics’ covers. Fans old and new are going to be in for a treat,” said executive producer David S. Goyer.
CONSTANTINE follows enigmatic and irreverent Liverpool con-man-turned-occult-detective John Constantine, who is reluctantly thrust into the role of defending our world against dark forces from beyond.

The Geekiest & Most Depressing Star Wars Easter Basket...Ever
Every season, we do our best to hit several stores and show off the goofiest of geek/holiday mash-ups. These have included Darth Vader with a kiss mark on his mask for Valentine's Day, Yoda with bunny ears for Easter and every damn character under the sun sporting a Santa hat for Christmas. Suffice to say, Star Wars is always featured prominently. Today, we came across an Easter basket that is, all at once, so completely geeky and, upon reflection, so bleakly morose, we are positive we will never see the likes of it again. Let's explore this masterpiece...
Side 1: Darth Vader with a reflection of Luke Skywalker in his eyes- This is clearly meant to be the exact moment where Vader tells Luke he is his father, causing untold emotional turmoil in poor Luke's head, so much so, he sees no alternative but to jump to his seemingly inevitable death. Cheerful!
