Adventure Time....THE MOVIE??!!
Days like this, I feel like someone is pranking me hardcore. Readers of Idle Hands over the years will attest to my love for the quirky, insane, completely random humor of the Adventure Time cartoon series...so when you tell me someone is working on a full length feature film with creator Pendleton Ward both producing and writing...my head explodes. Seriously...I'm headless right now. It's a mess.

Henry Cavill in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"
As the colossal cast still seems to be building, we've gotten our first look at Ben Affleck as Batman and a fair amount of his Batmobile. Now, Warnerbros gives us a sneak peek at a somber Henry Cavill as Superman in the upcoming, sure to be epic (in scope, if nothing else!) "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". Not much to write home about here...no changes to the suit it seems..and if it ain't broke, why fix it, right? We know the ladies love to look at Henry, so here's your eye candy for the day...

Edge of Tomorrow's Official Trailer
Seems like we've been waiting forever for this one! It's a little Vanilla Sky...little Gears of War..little Matrixy...and if it strikes the right tone, I'm going to gush all over it. When Scifi is done in an intelligent way with humor and heart, you can't help but win.
The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again...and again.

J.K. Rowling Returns to the Wizarding World
Just when you thought it was safe to seal your collectible Harry Potter 3D glasses in a plastic display case, forever containing all the magic of that night when you watched the last film with militant tween girls who stood up at the start of the film and announced "If any of you make one sound during this movie, we will kill you. We promise." Ahhh..memories. Now, J.K. Rowling is making the press rounds, expressing her disappointment with the reception of her "Adult" book and vocalizing a desire to return to the world that brings her sooooo much muggle love.
Though there is currently no official words from Warner Brothers even hinting at a release date or specific details, they have stated the new film will be based on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first-year textbook that Potter uses at Hogwarts school in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Rowling had this to add...

Ben Affleck is Batman. Discuss.
He kicked ass in Argo. Undeniable. Can he be the steely, brooding World's Greatest Detective (a role, I might add, WE have yet to see in any Batman film) we've been waiting for, standing toe to toe with the Man of Steel? Welp, all we know is that WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING...but the release date, which is now July 2015. Well..we do know a little. Affleck will star opposite Henry Cavill, the current movie Superman, and a sizable chunk of established actors from the Man of Steel film...and Walter White (Bryan Cranston) from breaking Bad as Lex Luthor. Director Zack Snyder stated “Ben provides an interesting
counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He
has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older
and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime
fighter but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce
Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.” David S. Goyer handles the writing duties once again.
...and now you have 2 years to get used to this. LOOK AT IT!!!
Thoughts? Sound off in the comments below!

Justice League: War Preview
It's that time again! The Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox has arrived, complete with endless bloody super hero murder and child gutting, men with Anime necks bigger than their whole damn head AND a sneak preview of the next Warner Bros DC Animated feature length film...Justice League: WAR! Based on the first arc of Justice League comics in the "New52", this is the tale of our pseudo-re-booted heroes meeting for the first time and joining forces after a rocky start to face the threat of world conquest from Darkseid. The story is said to mirror the witty banter between the heroes, as seen in these first issues with references to True Blood and such still intact..if that still makes it into the film! The characters have been making names for themselves in the New52 universe, so their reputation precedes them as they meet, with some reacting as one would when meeting a celebrity and others instantly on guard. All of this tension and doubt falls away as the Earth faces a full scale alien invasion and our heroes must step up as the last line of defense. Justice League: WAR stars Alan Tudyk as Superman, Jason O'Mara as Batman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman and Justin Kirk as Green Lantern. We also got a quick tease of Shazam, but no word on his casting yet. We are looking at a 2014 release. Hit the jump for the eye candy!

Toy Fair 2013 : The WB Push Looney Tunes
Can you recall the last time you saw Looney Tunes merchandise on the shelves at your local toy stores? Man...was it DC Direct that had a line ages ago? If that's the case, those were only in comic shops and specialty retailers. Warner Brothers stores had some fantastic vinyl figures as well...but those days are long gone and the WB shops are closed, and with a new cartoon on the air that does NOT feature cracked out extreeeeme versions of their iconic characters, we need new toys!

WB Cartoons Get Real
Thanks to BleedingCool and Cartoon Brew, we get a glimpse into what could be....could have been...might still be if the internet goes berserk over these clips...?? It's live action Hong Kong Phooey and Marvin the Martian, squeeking their way onto YouTube via Director Alex Zamm...
Where the clips came from isn't half as important as where they are going. Could this be the start of another onslaught of Cartoon to the Big Screen adaptation with your childhood toon stars yucking it up with hapless fleshy humans? With a twitch, I'm given a flashback of the Bullwinkle movie. Please...no more...but if you absolutely HAVE to...for the love of God......try harder. We beg of you.
