Paddington 2 Trailer Hits
Let's talk about a movie NO ONE give me a heads up about. The first Paddington Bear movie dropped onto Netflix with little fanfare and no one in my social media feeds losing their mind, so when I came across the title by accident, it was a complete mystery. Upon watching, I was very happy to find overwhelming charm, beautiful cinematography and an irresistibly sweet story (I would have said unBEARably, but we aren't those people.) Now...knowing what I know, I'm full on pumped for a movie that should really be something 4 year olds bug their mom to see on a Saturday afternoon. I'm owning it.
Following the worldwide hit “Paddington,” one of the most successful family films of all time, this much-anticipated sequel finds Paddington (Ben Whishaw) happily settled with the Brown family in London, where he has become a popular member of the local community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes.

Boggy Creek Monster & The Mothman of Point Pleasant on VOD Now
Terror Films, in association with documentary filmmaker Seth Breedlove, is widening the platform availability of two creature myth documentaries. The documentaries are titled: BOGGY CREEK MONSTER and THE MOTHMAN OF POINT PLEASANT. Both films will begin their release expansion on Tuesday, November 21st.
BOGGY CREEK MONSTER documents the legend of the Fouke Monster - a creature first reported on in the early 1970's in Fouke, Arkansas. There are allegations that this Bigfoot type creature attacked a local family and then destroyed livestock. Later many more sightings were reported and a legend was born!
THE MOTHMAN OF POINT PLEASANT deals with a different monster that was originally sighted near Point Pleasant, West Virginia. In 1966, multiple townspeople reported seeing "a large flying man with ten-foot wings whose eyes glowed red." Legend claims that the Mothman is responsible for the 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge that killed 46 people. It still roams somewhere to this day.

2017 Holiday Geekbook: NECA's Quarter Scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Nothing triggers a retro, flashback reflex faster than the theme song from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series. Activating these flashbacks has meant big business for toy manufacturers this past year, with products allowing you to revisit every past love from Q-bert to The Golden Girls. NECA loves what we love, and so it should come as no surprise that they would produce more than a handful of action figures that would give a geek whiplash when cruising any toy display. While all of these toys are fantastically rendered and considered a must-have for any collector, the quarter scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures stand alone as works of art.

Disney Toybox Figures Popping Up
The last time you hit the video game section of Toys R Us, did you breeze through the densely packed pegs of figural characters that port into Nintendo, Disney and Activision's preferred video game universes and think "Damn, I have no desire to play this game, but those figures are pretty awesome!" Well...Disney was listening (probably through your phone...someone is always listening!!) As the sun sets on the Disney Infinity video game collection, that bright ball of fire pops up on the other side of our happy toy planet to shine a light on new Disney Toybox action figures! If you are anything like me, you noted the unified art style for those Disney Infinity figures was very appealing. I wondered if they might translate them into 6 inch vinyl figures in the near future. I WAS VERY CLOSE!

Marvel's Morbius The Living Vampire Movie In Development at Sony
The future of our beloved New York wall crawling hero on the big screen is always a tumultuous one. Just when we've breathed a sigh of relief in Marvel Studios bringing Spider-Man back into their loving embrace, we note his conspicuous absence in the opening Marvel art on every MCU movie. Though Sony's own Spider-verse plans have been jumping around just like a spider can, they've, at the very least, shown a great deal of forward momentum in trying new things in the hopes they will strike gold, and win the hearts of old school comic collectors AND MCU film freaks all at once. Most recently, we've been getting little bits on their progress with a Venom film starring Tom Hardy and a Silver Sable/ Black Cat film (which will most definitely NOT be titled "Precariously Placed Zippers"). Now, still (most likely) banking on the possibility of future Rated R super hero action pay dirt (see Fox's Deadpool), they've sought to make things all the more creepy...

Prepare for a NEW Star Wars Trilogy
StarWars.com is reporting Rian Johnson, Writer/Director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, will be the driving creative force behind a new trilogy taking place in the Star Wars Universe. We've yet to see what someone can do away from the expectations of die hard fans who, at once, want a continuation of the Star Wars mythos, but don't want any drastic, jarring changes. A new story away from the original trilogy characters, still utilizing the legends of Sith and Jedi locked in an eternal battle among the stars is an instant win for me. Just look what they did with Star Wars: Rebels!! Here's the announcement...

Her look is completed with brown boots, blue and turquoise striped socks and some unusual earrings, at the top and bottom of her left ear. Whittaker, the first female Doctor, takes over from Peter Capaldi and will make her debut on screen when the Doctor regenerates in the Christmas special on BBC One.

Looking Back at Thor Action Figures
It's time for another epic Marvel Cinematic Universe movie release, and this round, we've got very high expectations. With a 94% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Director Taika Waititi hopes the general public in the states will love his take on Thor's little corner of the Marvel Universe as much as critics, and a large chunk of the world, already has. Thor: Ragnarok premieres today, so I thought i'd take this opportunity to celebrate the ever evolving toys we've gotten over the years celebrating the god of thunder. Thor is one character that's always been lucky enough to be immortalized in plastic, time and time again, giving fans many an opportunity to pick their favorite ones, or fill up an entire apartment, like Gollum sitting atop a mound of painted plastics in funny metal hats. Let's take a look at some toys!!
