SDCC 2024: Diamond Select Toys, Gentle Giant LTD and Ironguard Supplies Head to Comic-Con

It’s almost that time, when it seems like half the world descends on San Diego to celebrate the world of comics and pop culture! Diamond Select Toys, Gentle Giant LTD and Ironguard Supplies will be set up at Booth 2607, and they’ll have fun events, swell booth exclusives, a fully-stocked store, and a team of helpful staff waiting to answer your questions. Let’s see what they’ve got going on!

First up, besides the four exclusives DST made for Diamond Comics (available at booth 2401), Gentle Giant LTD will have four exclusives that will only be at booth 2607! An animated-style Iron Man statue, a Jumbo Jawa figure, and busts of Marvel’s Vision and Star Wars’ Grievous will be for sale to attendees, with a limited number available to the Gentle Giant LTD Premier Guild after the show.

Geek Flea 9 Coming to Kearny, NJ

2 floors of dorky goodness await an unsuspecting crowd at the 9th Geek Flea this April 18th! The First Presbyterian Church of Arlington in Kearny, NJ is once again home to Geek Flea; a packed house full of artists and crafts people, folks unloading some awesomely geeky items (like toys, comics, t shirts, video games & more), fantastic foods, excellent music and contests held all day long. New Jersey Gets Geeky At Geek Flea 7!

April 5th will bring with it an end to this bitter cold and the return of GEEK FLEA to the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington in Kearny, New Jersey!

This family friendly, FREE event boasts two floors with over 40 vendors selling everything from toys and games to comic books and T shirts that will make your inner child (or actual child) do a happy dance, and amazing artists showing off their latest creations. You'll also find mouth-watering food and drinks to fuel your dream toy hunt, and groove to live DJs as you wait to see if your raffle ticket will score you free T shirts, toys or even a PS4! Admission, as always, is FREE FOR ALL.

Make Something Unreal LIVE 2013

Epic Games, Inc., creators of award-winning games and game technology, announces the launch of Make Something Unreal Live (MSUL) 2013, the international game development competition open to all students enrolled full-time at any European higher education establishment.

Epic is accepting game pitches until 2nd November that cleverly play on the theme of Mendelian inheritance, which spans concepts such as variation, mutation and other behaviors of the human genome. Teams making it through to shortlist rounds will use Epic’s Unreal Development Kit (UDK), the free edition of Unreal Engine 3 (UE3), to create new PC games based on their pitches, with the ultimate goal of winning a commercial Unreal Engine 4 licence for PC digital distribution.

We want YOU to design a vehicle of your own creation for our upcoming LEGO movie! It can be any kind of transportation device -- car, plane, boat, train, spaceship -- as long as it's made entirely out of LEGO bricks (excluding third-party branded LEGO content -- for example, no "LEGO© Harry Potter™" minifigures) and it looks like it started out as something else -- like a castle that has been converted into a race car.
