SDCC 2026: White Cat Entertainment Returns to San Diego

Rise of the Kung Fu Dragon Master Comic Book
White Cat Entertainment returns to San Diego Comic-Con International (Small Press Booth P-10) following a year of significant and exciting growth for the creator-led publishing and entertainment company.

After expanding its comics and graphic novel publishing footprint through a partnership with Massive Publishing and launching a creative solutions division with award-winning writer, producer, and development strategist Rylend Grant, Managing Partner of The Shoshin Creative Lab, White Cat Entertainment arrives at SDCC with creator appearances, convention programming, new releases, and the launch of the Alpha Cat #2 Kickstarter campaign, which has been labeled a "Project We Love"!

The company's Comic-Con lineup reflects its continued growth as a publisher and developer of creator-owned entertainment properties:

Meet the Creators
(Left to right) Chris Mancini and Fernando Pinto

For the first time, fans will have the opportunity to meet both Chris Mancini and artist Fernando Pinto together at San Diego Comic-Con at Booth P-10. Traveling all the way from Chile, Pinto will be accepting commissions and signing books alongside Mancini throughout the convention. The appearance comes as the longtime creative team celebrates the launch of Alpha Cat #2, now live on Kickstarter.

After serving in the devastating Insect Wars, Alpha and his crew are exploring the galaxy when a distress call leads them to an ancient robot temple hiding powerful secrets. As space pirates attack and old mysteries resurface, Alpha finds himself caught in a chain of events that raises troubling questions about the future of the Animal Alliance—and the enemies gathering in the shadows.

Blending Pixar heart, Looney Tunes chaos, and the spirit of classic space adventure, Alpha Cat follows a former soldier rediscovering the thrill of exploration. The Kickstarter campaign features exclusive rewards, catch-up tiers, and bundles for readers looking to join Alpha and his crew's adventure.

Readers can also pick up copies of Alpha Cat #1 alongside stickers, magnets, pins, bookmarks, and other White Cat Entertainment books available throughout the show.

Why We Make Comics: The Urge, The Obsession, The Necessity
Friday, July 24 | 7:00-8:00 | Grand 10 & 11, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina

Behind every comic is a deeper story… one that goes beyond craft, technique, or industry know-how. Rylend Grant and David Avallone (hosts of the Telly Award-winning WRITERS BLOCK podcast) bring together a panel of acclaimed creators and dig into the real reason they make comics: the personal drives, emotional compulsions, and life experiences that make storytelling not just a career, but a necessity. From catharsis to chaos, therapy to obsession, this candid conversation explores what fuels the creative fire and why, for some, making comics isn’t a choice at all.

Special note: Fans may want to keep an eye on White Cat Entertainment's social channels during Comic-Con week for information on an additional special appearance from Mancini!
