We’re celebrating Ghostbusters Day with a Monster High homage to the hit 1984 film’s central villain, Gozer. The shapeshifter can take many forms, including that of a skyscraper-sized marshmallow man, but we styled her after her screamtastic original look, complete with bubble-studded bodysuit and powerful purple lightning blasts. With her two Terror Dogs by her side, she’s a formidable opponent for the legendary spirit-slaying squad.

NYCC 2025: MONDO on MOTU, TMNT, Gargoyles & More

Getting a good vantage point of MONDO is a struggle, as eager fans buzzed around every display, shooting their own pictures, no doubt to show their loved ones what they want for Christmas. Among the licences on show were the familiar Ghostbusters and X-Men, the previously announced Masters of the Universe 6 inch line, and an AMAZING Over the Garden Wall collection. Total surprises were MONDO venturing back into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles territory and some massive Gargoyles that seemed to be plucked right from the TV screen! 

We'll remind collectors that the Masters of the Universe 6 inch He-Man and Clawful timed editions are about to exit their availability window, with preorders closing at 10:59 AM CT on 10/17, so jump while you've got the chance...

Mondo Toys made a big splash with the debut of its all-new 1:6 scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line, reimagining the heroes in a darker, grittier universe that blends Elseworlds-style storytelling with premium collectible craftsmanship. Each figure features interchangeable accessories, swappable body parts, and a striking balance of realism and nostalgia. Mondo’s creative team described the series as part of a new storytelling and world-building initiative, set in a re-envisioned TMNT universe where the Turtles face off against Shredder, Krang, and Mouser in a gritty cityscape.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, is a 4v1 action-packed video game that launched on Tuesday, October 18, from the asymmetrical multiplayer experts at IllFonic. Today the developer and self-publisher shares some information on its support plan for the title in 2023.

At launch gamers were able to hunt or haunt through five unique maps in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. Early in quarter one of 2023, IllFonic will be adding a new map to the mix, The Facility. The Facility closed for good in the late 1980s and has been recently purchased by a private investor group, who have plans to renovate and reopen the facility. Unfortunately for them, it’s being plagued by ghostly activity, and construction crews refuse to enter this haunted health center.

Hasbro Releases More Power Rangers for the Ghostbusters Line

Did I confuse you with that title? I tend to do that. ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN!! 

I love Ghostbusters and the announcement that Hasbro was taking over the license had me HYPED. I also love Marvel Legends, and the rate at which Hasbro cranks out those suckers made me think I'd be swimming in 16 different types of Ghosts and or Busters in one months time. 

Sadly, this did not happen.

Alamo Drafthouse Dedicates Theater to GHOSTBUSTERS Filmmaker Ivan Reitman

They came, they saw, they renamed a theater. Austin-based cinema-eatery Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is proud to announce that their brand-new Lower Manhattan theater will carry an alternate name, the Ivan Reitman Cinema, after the legendary filmmaker behind GHOSTBUSTERS. The company’s founder and Executive Chairman, Tim League, made it official this morning at a ceremony that included both Ivan and his son Jason Reitman, the director of JUNO, UP IN THE AIR, and this weekend’s GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE.
