The Wolverine Reviewed
I may have told this story before, but it bears repeating. As a little kid, the first comics I gravitated towards were Justice League of America. Insane covers with giant space starfish enslaving the human race and Earth's mightiest heroes hooked me. As I grew a bit older, I came to realize, nine times out of ten, whatever was happening on the cover didn't actually happen until the very last pages of the book, so I felt cheated. That's when someone turned me on to Uncanny X-Men. These were very realistic human portrayals, despite their mutant abilities, with real world problems and prejudices to deal with, and none so mentally tormented as the man called Wolverine. In the back of a longbox in a giant book store in the heart of Brooklyn, I found Wolverine #1..a bit folded at the edges and with a number markered on the cover, but still very much readable and because of the damage, affordable! That night, me and the 5 foot, hairy, brooding Canadian warrior bonded and many a day after, I clenched my fist waiting to see if claws might pop out.

A New "The Wolverine" Trailer
Complete with a roboty looking Silver Samurai and Viper with a snake tongue, which of course makes me think this one will probably miss the mark again. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be there opening night, but with very low expectations.

The Wolverine Trailer Unleashed!
READY FOR SOME EYE CANDY??!! The other day we brought you up to speed on the Wolverine with an overview of this movie's plot, what else we know of the film to date and the events from comics that this movie borrows from. This was all the pre-show for the lil video we present today. Actually, two trailers dropped this morning, but as usual, the American trailer is high on drama while the International trailer has Silver Samurai and a swarm of ninjas attacking our favorite Canadian. So we go International, of course...

Catching Up With The Wolverine
Between Kick-Ass 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men First Class 2, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World, Superman: Man of Steel and Iron Man 3, it would be very easy to forget about a little film called The Wolverine!! ..that is unless you are a woman (or man) in love with Hugh Jackman and his veiny muscles. For you, every second you have to wait for this movie is pure agony. Luckily, the film's marketing department have been releasing plenty of posters with good ole' Hugh...shirtless...of course. Before we believe this is their ENTIRE pitch for the film, FOX have given EW some exclusive info and images..you know..for those of us that like silly things like plot, comic to screen story lines being translated faithfully and those all important comic hero cameos. Here's what we know so far...

Wolverine Figures Join the 2013 Lineup
I knewwww we were forgetting someone. When we last played "What's Dropping Next Year?!" we outlined a stack of releases for Iron Man 3, the animated Avengers Assemble series and a whole range of products for the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. We assume we'll have Thor: The Dark World product in there somewhere as well (more than likely 1 to 2 months before its November 2013 release). All that cast a sort of dire light on the future of the 3.75 inch Marvel Universe line...seeing as how crowded the pegs will be all year. Despite this log jam of plastic alongside RACKS of Amazing Spider-Man goods (that have just been replenished with a new wave), dwindling Avengers product and that Iron Man 2 stuff that never seems to want to go to clearance...there is still...another (spoken in Yoda's voice).
