Urban Legend PIG HILL Coming to Digital 12/9

PIG HILL
Cineverse (Nasdaq: CNVS), the next-generation entertainment studio, announced today that Pig Hill, the latest film from director Kevin Lewis (Willy’s Wonderland), will debut on Digital and Video on Demand on December 9, 2025. A physical release will follow on January 13, 2026, with streaming on SCREAMBOX beginning March 10, 2026. The chilling horror feature draws inspiration from a Pennsylvania urban legend involving the mysterious disappearance of local women.

Pig Hill follows a young author who investigates the disappearance of local women in the community of Meadville, Pennsylvania, quickly becoming entwined in a strange local legend about the creatures that live on Pig Hill. The film is based on the Nancy William novel “Pig.” The film stars Shane West (A Walk To Remember, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), Rainey Qualley (Ocean’s Eight, Mad Men), Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead, Red Riding Hood, Poker Face) and R.A. Mihailoff (Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Hatchet II).

“I think some of the best horror comes from ideas that are connected to the real world. When I read Jarrod Burris’ screenplay adapted from the Nancy William's novel ‘Pig,’ and learned about the Pig People of Meadville, Pennsylvania I knew it would make for a frightening, bone chilling film.” says director Kevin Lewis. “It is a poignant story of obsession, love and the terrible consequences of what happens when reality and fantasy blur.”

The official synopsis is as follows: Carrie has been fascinated by the local legend of the pig people of Pig Hill, revolting creatures who breed and cause havoc in the area. As the tenth woman goes missing, Carrie can't stop thinking that there could be more to these stories.
