M.A.S.K.’s series debut took the comic book industry by storm with its robust blind bag program, introducing ROM to Skybound’s Energon Universe, and the series continues to surprise fans with unexpected first appearances.
Now, the new M.A.S.K. series has revealed Miles Mayhem’s secret ally is none other than Baron Karza, whose first appearance portends dark plans for Mayhem’s retaliation against Matt Trakker...and his son Scotty.
“The record-setting launch of M.A.S.K. shocked and delighted fans, and we’re continuing the exciting momentum with the reprint of this monumental third issue,” noted Executive Editor Ben Abernathy. “With the introduction of the mysterious Baron Karza, who knows what could happen next!”
M.A.S.K. is the latest addition to the historic collaboration between Skybound and Hasbro, a new part of the shared Energon Universe comic line that features ongoing series Void Rivals by writer Robert Kirkman, artist Conor Hughes (White Ash), and colorist Patricio Delpeche (Catwoman), the two-time Eisner Award winning Transformers by writer Robert Kirkman, artist Jason Howard (The Astounding Wolf-Man), and colorist Mike Spicer (Stillwater, Murder Falcon), and G.I. Joe by writer Joshua Williamson (Superman, Legion of Super-Heroes), artist Andrea Milana (Cobra Commander), and colorist Lee Loughridge (Thor, Star Wars).
