Released in Denmark in 1961 and later reworked for American audiences in 1962, the film introduced fans to one of the most bizarre kaiju ever created. A giant, regenerating dragon-like creature that terrorized Copenhagen with acid slime, awkward puppet effects, and unforgettable charm.
For decades, Reptilicus existed as a fascinating footnote in monster movie history. But hidden within the creature’s legacy was another forgotten chapter. The birth of Reptisaurus.
It was Charlton Comics we have to thank for transforming a lapsed-licensed Reptilicus into the quirky, destructive, often love-struck REPTISAURUS we obsess over today.
Reptisaurus stands 16” long and has 45 points of articulation. The figure comes in a stunning design box designed by John Tedrick and will include an exclusive Matt Frank print. The highly detailed sculpt is done by Dopepope and is the first life-like sculpt ever created for this Danish dragon.
