CHROMA + FANTASTIC FEST to Fund Indie Film with "Fantastic Pitches"

Chroma, a newly formed genre film label dedicated to the global distribution, acquisition, and production of bold, visionary genre cinema, is proud to announce its official launch. Leading the charge is Ahbra Perry, who has been named Vice President of the company, supported by a team of experienced distribution executives. In her new role, Perry will oversee Chroma’s slate and spearhead production efforts, with a focus on elevating filmmakers working with smaller budgets and creative visions.

Early Access Adrenaline Rush Previews for NOVOCAINE

Paramount Pictures announced today a series of national early access screenings for the upcoming film Novocaine. Additionally, in a special collaboration, Paramount has partnered with Fantastic Fest to host the film’s first-ever fan screening event. 

On Saturday, March 8, at 7:00PM local time, over 1,200 theaters across the U.S. and Canada will participate in the “Early Access Adrenaline Rush Preview” of Novocaine in advance of its wide release on March 14.

Fantastic Fest 2023: SPOOKTACULAR!, a Look at the Theme Park from Horror's Golden Age

Spookywood Productions is honored to announce that Fantastic Fest will host the World Premiere of Spooktacular!, director Quinn Monahan's gripping documentary that unravels the secrets behind SpookyWorld, America's iconic Halloween extravaganza, which set the template for the multi-billion-dollar industry of terror. Presented by executive producer Tom Savini, Spooktacular! will bow in Austin at the largest genre film festival in the US, specializing in horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and action movies from all around the world. After Fantastic Fest, Spooktacular! will make its West Coast Premiere at BeyondFest and its International Premiere at Sitges.

At the heart of it all stands David Bertolino, the mastermind behind SpookyWorld, the first-ever multi-attraction Halloween theme park that redefined the haunted house experience. From humble beginnings as a whoopee cushion salesman, Bertolino's journey culminated in a terrifying hayride trail through the woods that captured the imaginations of thousands, and soon became a sensation.

At some shows, they sing the Vegas refrain...what happens in (insert con name here) stays in (con name here). At Fantastic Fest, its alllll out in the open for good..for bad...for drunk. Men doing a drunken strip tease to the Black Eyed Peas is normally not news worthy. When those men include The RZA, Elijah Wood, Tim League, Nacho Vigalondo and friends, it elevates the event to near mythic status.
