Mermaid Museum Coming to Hollywood
Open to the public from March 22 to the 25; come celebrate with a free ticketed event in honor of the mythological, mysterious, and beloved creatures with over five activations and take part in the upcoming International Mermaid Day, which coincides with the series premiere of Freeform's "Sirens" on March 29. Featuring a live mermaid, a speakeasy-inspired fishing store, numerous photo structures and a 360° underwater immersive experience; the museum will celebrate and bring mermaid culture to life.
“At Freeform, our goal is to defy expectations and bust stereotypes of theme for our programming,” said Tricia Melton, senior vice president, Marketing, Creative & Branding at Freeform. “Mermaids have long been portrayed as timid objects of desire, but our new series ‘Siren’ flips the narrative quite literally on its tail, and we can’t wait for consumers to immerse themselves into the experience at The Mermaid Museum.”

Freeform TV Marvel Comics New Warriors Lineup Revealed
Via MARVEL, we get a solid lineup of which new Warriors you can expect to see sometime in 2018 as Freeform rolls out Marvel's New Warriors TV show. News had been dropped that Squirrel Girl would be a part of the TV team, but little else was announced, leaked, or even alluded to, leading to hours and hours of FAN SPECULATION!! Would this be a mock reality series mirroring a very popular run of the comic series or a straight up teen super hero action/drama series? Welp...we still don't know the exact tone the show will take, but with these character announcements, we can for some ideas...

Misfits & Marvel's Cloak and Dagger Coming to Freeform/ABC Family
The latter part of that title is fairly important I think, as a show premiering on ABC Family would be squeaky clean, no? I could be wrong, but it's something worth noting, especially for a show like Misfits that was known for its sex, drugs and foul mouthed action (all of which, I was quite happy with!) Beyond that, more Marvel on TV is always AWESOME!! I'd say i'm at least minimally aware of Cloak and Dagger's history in the Marvel Comics Universe, as they popped up often in Spider-Man..fought alongside the Avengers..and i'm sure I saw them running with the X-Men and/or New Mutants once or twice. Not being A or even B list characters, it will be interesting to see what Marvel villains this production is allowed to fold into their universe. Another question...would they be Inhumans rather than Mutants and so, tied to the Agents of SHIELD TV show? We'll know soon enough!
