GAMESCOM: Naraka: Bladepoint Unveils New Lara Croft Cosmetic

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT made an appearance at gamescom’s Opening Night Live as the launch date of its long-awaited collaboration with Tomb Raider was revealed for the first time by NetEase Games. Set to launch on August 28th PT, this exhilarating crossover event will see Matari is stepping into the legendary boots of Lara Croft.

As shown during ONL, Matari will don an outfit inspired by the iconic adventurer Lara Croft in this exciting new collaboration, as well as weapon cosmetics like Lara’s trusty Compound Bow and Climbing Axe arriving in-game on August 28th. The collaboration will uniquely blend both Eastern and Western culture and showcase the spirit of exploration and survival shared by the two adventurers, Matari and Lara Croft.

New Lara Croft On the Way

Crystal Dynamics®, a part of Square Enix Europe, today announced Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, a new game developed by Crystal Dynamics, which will be released via digital download in 2010.

"This is a really exciting project for Crystal Dynamics, we have created something completely new and very different to what people might be expecting," said Darrell Gallagher, General Manager of Crystal Dynamics. "Lara Croft is such an iconic character in videogames, with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light we have created what we believe is a truly original digital experience."

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be shown strictly "behind closed doors" at this year's Game Developers Conference beginning on March 9th.
