Toy Fair 2026: Mattel Announce Global Licensing for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Paramount Unveils New “WORLD OF TMNT”

The heroes in a half shell are ready to take fans on their next big adventure! Paramount+ today released the official trailer for Season 2 of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) – the hit animated series from the universe of TMNT: Mutant Mayhem – and it’s just the beginning of an all-new era for the franchise.

SDCC 2024: STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS Ongoing Series Announced

Announced at San Diego Comic-Con, IDW Publishing is incredibly proud to bring back STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS in an all-new ongoing series!  After earning a prestigious Eisner nomination for their work on STAR TREK: DAY OF BLOOD - SHAXS’ BEST DAY, writer Ryan North and artist Derek Charm reunite to kick off this can’t-miss comic ride featuring the beloved characters from the hit animated series.

A Quiet Place: Day One Featurettes

Star Trek: Picard – Legacy Collection Available Now on Blu-ray

Star Trek: The Picard Legacy Collection is now available from Paramount Home Entertainment!

The limited edition individually numbered 54-Disc Blu-ray collection features one of a kind packaging that houses every series and film featuring Jean-Luc Picard. Along with over 35 hours of special features, films and series include “Star Trek: The Next Generation – Seasons 1-7,” “Star Trek: Picard – Seasons 1-3,” Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Nemesis, and Star Trek: Insurrection.  This limited set also includes an exclusive edition of The Wisdom of Picard featuring brand new artwork and quotes, along with a one-of-a-kind deck of playing cards, a magnet sheet featuring all of Captain Picard’s badges and four custom Chateau Picard drink coasters.

Director’s Edition of Star Trek: The Motion Picture Set to Be Fully Restored

Paramount and Paramount+ are excited to announce that a full restoration of the Director’s Edition of Star Trek: The Motion Picture has been greenlit. The restoration will be undertaken by producer David C. Fein, restoration supervisor Mike Matessino, and visual effects supervisor Daren R. Dochterman, all of whom worked previously with director Robert Wise.

DORA THE EXPLORER IS REAL!!!!!

Paramount Players announced today that the motion picture adaptation of Nickelodeon’s Peabody Award-winning children’s animated series, Dora the Explorer, began principal photography on location in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, on Monday, August 6, 2018. The production, being directed by 11-time Emmy and four-time BAFTA nominee James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted, “Flight of the Conchords”) marks the lovable Latina character’s big screen debut (and first live-action adaptation on any platform) after fourteen seasons (2000-2014) and 172 episodes on Viacom’s enduring children’s cable network. The film is a Paramount Players and Nickelodeon production in association with Walden Media. The film is being supported by the Queensland Government via Screenland Queensland. Paramount will release the film on August 2, 2019.

Star Trek Beyond Trailer #2 Is ...More ...Star Treky?

It's an interesting thing, and it comes up more often than we realize, especially with "geek" properties. There are translations of our favorite comics/cartoons/what have you that seem faithful...made by people who actually LIKE what they've seen and wish to make a feature film that would make the original creator smile from ear to ear and give fans something to cheer about and beg for more. The first trailer for Star Trek Beyond was lacking in..shall we say..Star Trekkiness. It may as well have been a preview for a generic space adventure fueled by rock music and peppered with scantily clad women and men who inexplicably lose their shirts mid-battle. After binge-watching the entire run of Star Trek: The Next Generation, I am no closer to pinning down the exact elements you NEED in any property claiming connection to the Star Trek mythos, but I know what it feels like, and like most fans, I can tell when it's missing. The second trailer for "Beyond" takes several steps back in the right direction...

10 Cloverfield Lane Coming Sooner Than You Think

If your thinking was "never" or "only in your wildest fever dreams" would you ever get that Cloverfield movie sequel...you're about to be pleasantly surprised. Maybe shocked even! While the mischievous JJ Abrams is basking in the afterglow of a little movie called Star Wars: The Force Awakens and is probably getting ready for the full promotion push for the next Star Trek epic, Paramount got all ninja like and dropped a teaser for another Abrams film called "10 Cloverfield Lane", onto their newest release "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi". Normally this would signify a long agonizing wait reaching into the back end of 2016 or even 2017 as we get little viral hints and elaborate scavenger hunts for video clips, but, no...it's done. In the can, as they say...and coming this March!

New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer Gives Best Look at Shredder & Splinter Yet

Let's talk about this on-again-off-again love affair we are having with the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. We heard they were making one with fully CGI Turtles. Love. We heard Bay was involved and he wanted to make them aliens. Off. We heard Megan Fox was going to be April. Off off. We heard they ditched the alien thing. 20% Love. We saw turtle pants, turtle tech, an oddball gladiator loin cloth and the million knives of Shredder. This one split the planet right down the middle. Now...three trailers later, I'm learning to ignore the little things and embrace the full-on comic book nature of this film, much like I did The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Star Trek Into Darkness and World War Z Double Feature Heading to Theaters

In an attempt to bring FUN back to your movie going experience, Paramount launches an initiative to put two of their biggest summer blockbusters back on the big screen, which was really the best place to see them in the first place.

Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom, Inc., is giving moviegoers a chance to see two of its summer blockbuster films, “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS” and “WORLD WAR Z,” with a special double feature at select AMC Theatres, Carmike Cinemas, Marcus Theatres, Regal Cinemas and other participating theaters nationwide in RealD 3D and 2D. 

Beginning Friday, August 30^th through Thursday September 5^th, the double feature allows fans to relive the excitement of two of the summer’s biggest hit films for one ticket price.  Tickets are on sale now at www.UltimateDoubleFeature.com, fandango.com, movietickets.com and at participating theatre box offices.

The Star Trek: Into Darkness App

As a thank you to the Star Trek: Into Darkness crew for fulfilling a certain wish to a friend of ours, I'll be posting every scrap of news Paramount sends over on the topic. This could get amusing.

Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom Inc., and Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM), through its subsidiary Qualcomm Labs, Inc., today announced that Gimbal™ context awareness technologies will be used to deliver exclusive content and advanced real world game experiences for the “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS” application based on the upcoming movie from J.J. Abrams.

These cutting edge technologies are being showcased in a never before-seen way and will enable users to automatically engage with a wealth of movie related materials by utilizing their real-life surroundings to auto-complete integrated missions by employing audio scan, geo-location recognition, and image recognition functionality powered by Qualcomm Vuforia.  The “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS” app will launch at the end of January.  Qualcomm’s Chairman and CEO Dr. Paul E. Jacobs made the announcement today during his keynote address at the International CES show in Las Vegas.

G.I.Joe: Retaliation Trailer #2

Time for another dose of potential awesome with super soldiers of a more traditional sort...if you think men and women with killer high tech gear, weapons and armament is traditional! Sadly, this trailer is NOT the reveal for Shipwreck and his snarky parrot companion. I hold out hope.

Since this series is set to come back in 2012, we expect they will tease us with some figures at the big show, or at least a 2 pack or 3 for 2011. Speaking of 2 packs, please, for the love of God, do NOT pay scalper prices for the Deadpool/ Warpath 2 pack. Wait a while and these will be in abundance, like every other line has been. DO NOT FEED THE SCALPERS!!
