HAPPY COMIC CON!! New York Comic Con kicked off yesterday with a packed house...and I can't imagine MORE people filling that space on Saturday! After battling our way across the show floor, we came home with around 22 companies' showings and 900 pics to bring to you, our plastic-loving audience. We'll start this party with The Loyal Subjects, who have been making a name for themselves by resurrecting toy lines from our childhoods. On display were upcoming releases from Rainbow Brite, MASK, JEM, Strawberry Shortcake, Teletubbies, and My Buddy! Let's dive in...

Toy Fair 2025: The Loyal Subjects Partners with Rovio on Angry Birds

The Loyal Subjects (TLS), a leading brand best known for creating lineups of high-quality toys, fashion dolls, plush, and collectibles based on iconic licenses at the cornerstone of pop culture and entertainment, has partnered with Rovio Entertainment as Master Toy for Angry Birds. In a deal facilitated by IMG Licensing, the strategic partnership will debut its first collection of toys, collectibles and plush in 2026.

Toy Fair 2025: The Loyal Subjects on JEM Revival

These days, it's not surprising to hear of iconic retro toy lines enjoying a revival through new toy companies showing their love, but it's been astounding to see these releases hitting the shelves of our local Walmart, making them available to all! Nacelle have blown minds by putting Sectaurs back on the pegs, hanging next to NECA's most modern Ninja Turtle releases. Now, The loyal Subjects continue their ride in the way back machine which started with Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake. Let's cheer them on as they go from Berrytastic to Truly Outrageous!

WORLD PREMIERE: The Loyal Subjects Goes Bughunting with Starship Troopers

I'd convinced my father to go to the movies with the promise of two things. 1. A brand new theater with "stadium seating" and 2. possible aliens and things blowing up in 5 minute intervals. What we got was an oddball scifi war story with a romantic underbelly akin to Robotech and interwoven propaganda film reels spelling out clearly what our enemy was capable of on an extreme level. WHO was the enemy you ask? MASSIVE INSECTS from alien worlds fully willing to wipe us out of existence with an intelligence far beyond your average Xenomorph. It was silly...it was crazy...it was awesome.

In a world where it seems toy companies pass around licenses and take turns making the same characters in their own artistic style, The Loyal Subjects has got fans in a frenzy for an action figure we've shockingly never gotten before. Beetlejuice from the self-named cartoon series!! At Toy Insider's Holiday of Play event, Loyal Subject's Head Honcho Jonathan Cathey told fans the wait was almost over as their Beetlejuice BST AXN Beetlejuice animated figure AND their Action Vinyl Beetlejuice Movie figures have shipped out and should be hitting WALMART stores this month, if the stock-gods favor you.

Today, our buddies at Toy Insider gave us access to most of our favorite toy companies for their annual Holiday of Play event. We did have the opportunity to visit in person, but alas, my car was not cooperating, so VIRTUAL it is, once again. While browsing through the powerful pile of industry greats, we found The Loyal Subjects and were greeted by their head honcho Jonathan Cathey who was excited to share some toy news with us media starved press folks.
