GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE! Hulu's "Futurama" Season 12 Has a Trailer!

HULU FUTURAMA Season 12

Following Hulu's critically acclaimed 2023 revival of Futurama, the epic sci-fi series from Matt Groening and David X. Cohen returns in 2024 with ten all-new episodes. On this orbit around the sun, our occasionally heroic crew embarks on mind-bending adventures involving birthday party games to the death, the secrets of Bender's ancestral robot village, A.I. friends (and enemies), impossibly cute beanbags, and the true 5 million-year-old story behind the consciousness-altering substance known as coffee. And, of course, the next chapter in Fry and Leela's fateful, time-twisted romance.

New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler's litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy's tadpoles. Meanwhile there's a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

Kidrobot on Hedonismbot!

Kidrobot have been banging out some killer collectibles for The Simpsons and Futurama, blurring the lines between Art Toy and Geek Dream Come True. Now, Kidrobot kills a gaping hole in your Futurama collection with HEDONISMBOT!! Chocolate body spread sold seperately.

I apologize for nothing! How wonderfully decadent! A full 6-inch vinyl toy of everyone’s favorite pleasure seeking robot. How delightful.

Hedonismbot is a recurring character on Futurama. He is a robot modeled after an ancient roman hedonist, with the notable improvement of being his own triclinium (couch). He has a bowl of grapes with him at most times. He's made entirely of gold and was apparently built with taxpayer's money. Hedonismbot is in stores now.

DESTRUCTOR VS GENDER BENDER

It's the Futurama battle to end all battles...and the boxed set we weren't sure was going to get made! Once, a San Diego Comic Con exclusive and now, a highly sought after piece needed to complete a collection (aka the GAPING HOLE on your Futurama shelf), Destructor returns to shut Bender's pie-hole once and for all.

From the vault of classic Futurama series 2. This excellent and outrageous duo of action figures from fan favorite episode Raging Bender, in which Bender cross dresses to lose a fixed fight in URFL against a spectacularly oversized opponent, The Destructor.

• Friday, July 22: "Ugly Americans" panel (Room 23ABC)
4:00-5:00 p.m. The panelists include Dan Powell (Executive Producer), Devin Clark (Producer and Series Creator), Aaron Augenblick (Director of Animation), Matt Oberg (voice of Mark Lilly), Kurt Metzger (voice of Randall Skeffington), Larry Murphy (voice of Lt. Grimes) and moderator Randy Pearlstein (voice of Leonard Powers). The session will feature a live, in-character table read, a behind-the-scenes look into the current second season, a sneak peak from an upcoming episode, a Q&A, a look at the highly anticipated downloadable game, "Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon" and more.

• Saturday, July 23: "Futurama" panel (Ballroom 20)
12:15-1:00 p.m. "Futurama" is back! Again!!! On stage will be Creator/Executive Producer Matt Groening, Executive Producer David X. Cohen and stars Billy West (Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg), Katey Sagal (Leela), John DiMaggio (Bender) and Maurice LaMarche (Kif Kroker, Calculon, Morbo). A sneak peek at never-before-seen footage of "Futurama" reincarnated as Japanese anime will be revealed along with a thrilling preview from this season currently airing on COMEDY CENTRAL. Plus more! Much more! The panel will be moderated by Bill Morrison.

"Futurama," the Emmy® Award-winning series, and "Ugly Americans" air as part of a weekly, one-hour “Thurs-Dimension” animation block on Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL with "Futurama" from 10:00-10:30 p.m. and "Ugly Americans" from 10:30-11:00 p.m.

Take New York City, add every horrifying beast, science-fiction freak and fantasy faerie, shake thoroughly, and you've got "Ugly Americans," an animated series that follows Mark Lilly, a social worker at the Department of Integration, as he helps new citizens both human and "other" adapt to hectic life in the Big Apple. There are easier tasks than soothing a vengeful mummy, being a slave in Satan’s dark army and trying to circumcise wizards, but Mark proves he’s up to the challenge, even if his co-workers are as incompetent as ever.

Mark's case load during the second season is heavy as always and his Department of Integration colleagues are less than helpful, including Twayne (Michael-Leon Wooley), a terrorizing demonic bureaucrat; Mark’s succubus co-worker and casual fling Callie Maggotbone (Natasha Leggero), who has some strange ideas about where to take their relationship; Leonard Powers (Randy Pearlstein), an aging drunken wizard and Mark’s office mate; and Lt. Grimes (Larry Murphy), a law-enforcement officer who despises non-humans. At least Mark still has his zombie roommate Randall Skeffington (Kurt Metzger), who doesn’t care what Mark does, as long as he covers his half of the rent.

In August, MTV Networks' "345 Games" division will release “Ugly Americans: Apocalypseggedon” (available for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network), a four player co-op side-scroller shooter game that features an exclusive script written by the show’s writers – including a new character unique to the game and custom voiceovers from the show’s actors. Uniting the spirit and humor of the series with addictive game play, players of “Ugly Americans: Apocalypseggedon” will hit the streets to clean up the chaos and prevent the impending apocalypse by resolving case files and fighting otherworldly citizens.

"Futurama" focuses on the life of Philip Fry (Billy West), a 25-year-old pizza delivery boy who accidentally freezes himself on December 31, 1999 and wakes up 1,000 years later with a fresh start at life at Planet Express, an intergalactic delivery company. There he meets love interest Leela (Katey Sagal), a sexy cyclops with anger management issues, and best friend Bender (John DiMaggio), a beer-powered kleptomaniac robot. The series aired for five seasons on Fox (1999 to 2003) earning Emmy® nominations each season while winning three times, including "Outstanding Animated Program" in 2002.

SDCC: Toynami Brings THE DESTRUCTOR!!

Have you ever looked at your Futurama collection and thought "I've got all the main characters, but something is missing. Toynami Keeps The Plastic Futurama Party Train Going

...and it seems like it's been chugging along for yeaaaaaars now! The show has risen and fell...and risen again and then tripped down some stairs, only to skin it's leg slightly...so don't be alarmed...until it toppeled over the balcony called Carton Network and plummeted to a final and glorious death. And now it's back from the dead, demanding brains and all your robot porn!! My point is...the damn show just won't die...so Toynami is forced to keep making action figures for all eternity...or until Billy West runs away from home. Whichever comes first.

At any rate, Wave 9 will include Police Droid URL and Wooden Bender. Expect them moaning for your blood (AKA monies) sometime in October.
