Storm King Comics PAUSE

For seemingly no reason, and with no advance warning, the world comes to a stop for everyone except one man, who goes on a mission to uncover the mystery in PAUSE, a new six-issue comics series from John Carpenter’s Tales of Science Fiction, an imprint of Storm King Comics.

Issue No. 1 of John Carpenter’s Tales of Science Fiction — PAUSE will debut exclusively in comic book stores on February 26, 2025, with subsequent issues available monthly through July.

NYCC 2023: Storm King Comics Panels

The times we live in are terrifying enough, so creators of horror stories across different media have a challenge to out-scare the headlines. Storm King Comics founder and horror legend Sandy King Carpenter will lead a panel discussion about the topic as part of New York Comic-Con, the comics publisher announced today.

In addition, King Carpenter will hold a special hourlong exploration of the origins, impact and future of Storm King Comics as the publishing house celebrates its first 10 years, sharing insight into her work with longtime partner and iconic horror director John Carpenter.

John Carpenter's THE FOG 4K In Theaters for Halloween

New York based Rialto Pictures will release John Carpenter’s landmark horror movie THE FOG on October 26, in its first-ever major restoration. The horror classic, in a full 4K restoration from Studiocanal, opens October 26 for limited runs at the Metrograph, in New York, Landmark’s Nuart in Los Angeles, and The Music Box Theatre in Chicago.

SDCC 2018: Storm King Comics Joins the Party

Dead By Daylight: Halloween DLC Releasing NOW!!

We caught up with the devs of Dead by Daylight at New York Comic Con 2016 where they revealed the ins and outs of their HALLOWEEN DLC characters and level for my readers at Dread Central! Pit a small army (well if 4 can be seen as an army) of Laurie Strodes against Michael Myers on the streets of Haddonfield, complete with meticulously pruned shrubbery and a cop car out front with lights blazing red against rows of white fence. As Michael approaches, the familiar score from John Carpenter adds to the menace. One survivor will be the object of Michael's obsession when stalking is a supernatural power...

John Carpenter has been on a music tour setting the ears of long time horror fanatics ablaze across the country while his higher profile fans sing his praises in epic Twitter rants (like the most recent one from Guillermo del Toro!) Last night, no one could prepare their bodies for the news Blumhouse was about to drop.

NYCC 2014: John Carpenter's Asylum Releasing Limited Edition Graphic Novel

Storm King Productions announced today the graphic novel release of their six issue horror comic series John Carpenter's Asylum. There will be three versions of the book, including a limited run collectors' edition, only available through the publisher, a hardcover edition (ISBN 978-0-9853258-8-6/SEP141622) in time for the holidays, and a softcover version (ISBN 978-0-9853258-7-9/AUG141656) that will hit stores in October. Writer, publisher movie producer Sandy King Carpenter (They Live, Vampires) and renown artist Leo Manco (Hellblazer, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Driver for the Dead) will be on hand at New York Comic Con for signings and autographs at booth #2029. Boom Studios Resurrects "Big Trouble in Little China"

“You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?” This June, BOOM! FIRE SALE: John Carpenter: Master of Fear DVD Set

,When you see the words FIRE SALE, trust that I found something dirt cheap that is more than worth running to the nearest store immediately. This time out, it's a 4 film collection of John Carpenter movies which includes The Thing, They Live, Prince of Darkness and Village of the Damned...all for 15 bucks!!! No idea if you can grab this at Best Buy as well, but mine was found at your friendly neighborhood Walmart. There is also a Wes Craven set at the same price with The Serpent and the Rainbow, Shocker and The People Under the Stairs. I swear, lately it's like perpetual Christmas for movie lovers. At Target, I bought a Bill and Ted 1 and 2 set for 5 bucks!!! They also had Teen Wolf 1 and 2 at the same price. If you hear of any other great deals, be sure to get in touch and we'll tell the world!
