JAPAN NIGHT May 9th at the Edison Ballroom

Japan Night Reception & Concert, Friday, May 9 at the Edison Ballroom (240 W. 47th Street), 
the day before celebrating the 4th Annual Japan Parade and Street Fair, allows artists, creatives, performers, organizations, and companies to showcase their expressions of modern and traditional Japanese culture. Prior to the Japan Night concert, guests will first enjoy traditional Japanese sake brewing and craftsmanship  Performers at the Japan Night concert include: J-pop superstar Sayaka Yamamoto, the cast of the 2.5D Musical ATTACK on TITAN: The Musical, and others. NBC Correspondent Emilie Ikeda hosts.

Naturally, it kicks off with 50th anniversary celebrations of the one that started it all, Steven Spielberg’s iconic Jaws. Events include Alamo Drafthouse’s fan favorite Movie Parties, the return of the fan-favorite Jaws on the Water event, and a once-in-a-lifetime Rolling Roadshow screening in Martha’s Vineyard with live orchestral accompaniment

“HEROES” Video Game Concert World Tour

The highly acclaimed video game music concert “Heroes: A Video Game Symphony” will be performed at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall with the Oregon Symphony in Portland, OR on Jan. 18, 2024. The once-in-a-lifetime experience will feature music and visuals from many of the world’s most iconic video games, as well as new pieces that will highlight music from games such as Diablo, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and Assassins Creed, as well as a new arrangement for World of Warcraft. Other upcoming shows next year include: January 31, 2024 in Monterrey, Mexico at Arena Monterrey; February 1, 2024 in Mexico City at Arena CDMX; May 11, 2024 at Morsani Hall in Tampa Bay; and July 13, 2024 at Auditorium Theater in Chicago. Tickets for the in-demand shows in Portland and Mexico are available now, while the upcoming show in Tampa Bay will go on sale on Cyber Monday, November 27 at 12:00pm EST; the Chicago show and additional tour dates will be announced soon. Is the Future of Conventions ONLINE?

There are now a staggering number of comic, anime and various, specific pop culture conventions across the GLOBE on a weekly basis. I'd say New Jersey has at least 10 to speak of! Now, one company is raising some important questions... Do fans really want to stand in sweaty spaces with strangers, waiting in long lines for hours to get their favorite celeb's autograph? Is it important to see new collectibles in person? Is it worth it to get a hotel room, fight for a ticket and travel to conventions just to see preview footage from new films that will be leaked online within minutes?

RiffTrax LIVE Coming To A Theater Near You

The fans have spoken and RiffTrax.com has listened. Based on overwhelming fan demand, Fathom Events, RiffTrax and IGN are thrilled to announce multiple RiffTrax events --all at once-- to keep fans laughing throughout the year. “RiffTrax LIVE 2015,” will consist of a series of four “classics” to be lambasted by the men of RiffTrax -- Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett (best known for the groundbreaking “Mystery Science Theater 3000”). Kicking off the series will be RiffTrax Live: The Room on May 6 and May 12; followed by RiffTrax Live: Sharknado 2: The Second One on July 9 and July 16; RiffTrax Live: Miami Connection comes to cinemas on October 1 and October 6; and the series concludes with a holiday favorite, RiffTrax Live: Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny on December 3 and December 15.
