The calendar retail follows to celebrate holidays monetarily will always be a bit of a mystery, mostly because it changes from store to store, region to region, and year to year. One year, three days before Halloween, it seemed the spooky holiday was abandoned and Target aisles went full speed through the nearest wall into Christmas Town. This year, my local PA Walmart hung onto those creepy vibes at least a week after the blessed day, allowing me to scoop up makeup, costume pieces, and monster decor at 90% off. We haven't even hit the 10th of January yet, but my Walmart has gone completely red and pink with Valentine's Day hearts slapped on the belly of every licensed character imaginable. While I can recall some interesting Valentine's merch in the past (a furry sasquatch themed, heart-shaped box instantly comes to mind), this year makes me think someone suggested they had not been exploiting the lovey-dovey holiday enough. The amount of merch and wide range of characters spotted is STAGGERING ...for the wallet....because there's some awesome stuff! Prepare your bank account and start your hunting engines...

Geeks Go Shopping! Universal's Movie Super Packs
Sooooo...what movies are on your must buy list this holiday season? Surely everyone has listed several among their requests, but seeing as how a lot of us are still locking down for safety's sake, that list most likely includes titles from classics to modern masterpieces to that B movie you pop in whenever new friends come over, because you absolutely need to blow their minds. Universal Home Video makes your list making a bit easier this year, packing hours of eye candy into 10 movie Blu-ray sets that will leave NO ONE disappointed.

2017 Holiday Geekbook: The Diamond Select Ghostbusters Rooftop
As we reach the final days leading up to the end of the year, we are going to show you some items you SHOULD be able to snag with very little hassles for the mega-geeks in your life! First up is, undeniably, one of the best, if not THE best playset for what they call an "adult" collector. In a world where playsets are finally making a comeback as gargantuan monoliths standing taller than your child, with little more holding them together than bits of cardboard and some modest plastic details, Diamond Select decided to pack their line of Deluxe Ghostbusters action figures with pieces of the rooftop seen in their final battle with Gozer and its final form, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. A BUILD A ROOFTOP!! People said they were insane and haters balked they would never complete the series, leaving hopeful collectors with dashed dreams and adult-sized tears. Welp, they completed that rooftop...and it is magnificent.
