A She-Hulk Toy Appreciation Post (Gallery Inside!)

She-Hulk Appreciation Action Figure Shoot 023
The Single Green Female run of She-Hulk is one of my favorite comic runs of all time. The subject matter hits on all levels for me. You get an exploration of Marvel's New York City that goes beyond the doors of the Avengers Mansion or the Baxter Building, showing villains and heroes alike just trying to live in their respective worlds. When the full weight of the American Judicial System comes down on either side, Jennifer Walters is there to defend the superpowered in a story that is borderline genius, but more often than not, also highly comedic. The world is ridiculous, so it stands to reason it would be 100x more in the powered community.

IDW Announces Todd McFarlane’s Spider-Man Artist’s Edition

IDW Todd McFarlane’s Spider-Man Artist’s Edition
In September, IDW will celebrate the dynamic artwork and storytelling of industry icon Todd McFarlane with the addition of Todd McFarlane’s Spider-Man Artist’s Edition to its multiple Eisner Award–winning line. Experience one of the most acclaimed runs in Spider-Man history like never before!

Todd McFarlane’s gorgeous work on Spider-Man was nothing less than groundbreaking. His intense version of the web-slinging wallcrawler took the character to new heights, instilling in the character a new sense of energy and vitality—first in The Amazing Spider-Man, written by David Michelinie, and then in a spin-off series, with both art and story by McFarlane himself. The impact that his dynamic artwork has had on the comics industry—on his legions of fans and the artists who have been inspired by and have emulated him—is truly immeasurable.

Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk & Ghost Rider Return as the NEW Fantastic Four

Marvel Comics NEW FANTASTIC FOUR #1 (OF 5)
In 1991’s FANTASTIC FOUR #347, comic book legends Walter Simonson and Arthur Adams introduced an unforgettable iteration of Marvel’s premier Super Hero team when they teamed up WOLVERINE, SPIDER-MAN, GHOST RIDER, and HULK as the NEW FANTASTIC FOUR. Though their time as the FF was brief, this unlikely group of heroes left a big impact, and now fans will get to return to this special moment in Marvel history in a new limited series kicking off in May. Written by comics great Peter David and featuring the Marvel Comics debut of artist Alan Robinson, NEW FANTASTIC FOUR will be set shortly after the events of the fan-favorite group’s first appearance, taking readers back to a classic era with a brand-new tale in the same vein as hit titles like X-MEN LEGENDS, MAESTRO, and SILVER SURFER REBIRTH.

Thor: Ragnarok... Where Everything Goes to Hell

Marvel Studios Thor Ragnarok Teaser Trailer
Thor seems to be a tricky subject for Marvel Studios. Being a long time fan of Marvel Comics, in my opinion, they've yet to capture the fun and sense of high adventure that comes with travelling to Asgard and we've absolutely not met even 10% of the creatures and colorful characters that reside there. Director Taika Waititi Looks like he's going to change all that. With glimpses of Hela decimating Asgard, Executioner letting loose with human artillery, The Valkyries taking on Hela, and every shot looking like amazing concept art and/or Jack Kirby's last wish, I have a feeling this is the first Thor movie i'm going to be going completely insane over. CHECK OUT THE TEASER TRAILER!!!

Amadeus Cho is the... Totally.. Awesome.. Hulk?

He's been red, grey, red and green...a gangster, smart, mindless and raging. Now, Amadeus Cho (whose mom was likely just introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron) one of the smartest people on the planet is stepping into the Jade Giant's shoes in a comic with a title torn straight from the 80's and seemingly designed to scream "COME ON, GIVE ME YOUR HATE!!" at fanboys everywhere. It's... Totally Awesome Hulk... and while the powerhouse team of Pak and Cho are enough to make me full lemur, the poster art strewn about New York Comic Con had many a fan saying WHAT THE HELL IS THAT??!! Marvel is never gentle with the band aid. They just rip it right off. Mean bastards.

Marvel toy collectors just got another reason to put the nearest Disney Store in their GPS. The first figure (available now) is the Savage Hulk, a new, modern Hulk based on artist Marc Silvestri's rendering of the character in recent issues of the Incredible Hulk from Marvel Comics. Marvel Back to Animated Features

It's been a very long time since Thor: Tales of Asgard. Did you catch that film? Neither did I. That was 2011. Now, fresh from the success of The Avengers with legions of fans wondering what a company like Disney might do with a blockbuster stable of characters and access to animation technology that is, no doubt, the best on the planet..Marvel answers the call for new direct to DVD animated features....or ANYTHING awesomely animated!

The project is called "Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes United". ~snore~ The title just smacks of the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cancellation in favor of something more kid friendly...even though they also cancelled Super Hero Squad..which was specifically for kids. ~grumble~ EW.com reports the pair of heroes will take on Zzzax, a creature of pure energy you may remember from pas Hulk comics.
