Make Dino Babies in ARK: Survival Evolved

From the development team that never sleeps, Studio Wildcard today has unveiled significant new additions to the survival-adventure ARK: Survival Evolved. Now playable in the Early Access build is the player’s ability to breed dinosaur babies in real-time and the debut of the new “Terror of the Deep” Mosasaurus.

Arrow Season 3 and Flash Season 1 Soundtracks Drop October 20th

La-La Land Records is proud to announce the release of THE FLASH Season 1 - Original Television Soundtrack and ARROW Season 3 - Original Television Soundtrack.  Both albums are 2-CD limited edition sets (3000 units) composed by Blake Neely (BLINDSPOT, SUPERGIRL).  As a special bonus, both releases contain music from THE FLASH VS. ARROW crossover episodes, with Part One appearing on THE FLASH album and Part Two appearing on the ARROW recording.  Both sets will be available exclusively at www.lalalandrecords.com on October 20^th and major music retail outlets on October 27, 2015.

NYCC 2015: Diamond Select Rolls Out Gotham, X-Files and More

It’s October in New York City (and everywhere else), and New York Comic-Con will see the first public appearance of a whole slew of new products from Diamond Select Toys! Gotham, The X-Files, Back to the Future, Mass Effect, Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and of course Marvel will all have new items on display at NYCC 2015, plus more breaking items to be announced! NYCC 2015: MTV's Teen Wolf Teases Season 5 Part 2

MTV announced today to a packed room of screaming fans at New York Comic Con that hit drama series “Teen Wolf” will return to MTV for the second half of season five on a brand new day Tuesday, January 5th at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT. During the panel moderated by TV Line’s Andy Swift, fans got a first-look at the second half of the season, which promises to be electrifying.

Today’s panel at New York Comic Con kicked off with a bang. Following the release of the explosive trailer, cast members Tyler Posey, Dylan Sprayberry and Cody Christian took the stage alongside Executive Producer Jeff Davis – only to be interrupted by the one and only JR Bourne. His surprise appearance sent the howling fans into yet another frenzy and hinted at more twists and turns to come in the second half of season five.

Ash vs Evil Dead... The POP UP BOOK

Days like this..it's good to be the press. Mystery boxes are the best part of the job and when you have as short an attention span as I do, it's very easy to forget when someone asks for your address to send you "something"! Today, a plain little brown box showed up via my favorite Fed Ex delivery guy with a stamp on the front that read "TIME SENSITIVE MATERIALS" and the name STARZ below it. Forgetting that Starz is soon to be home to a man known as @GroovyBruce for his new show Ash vs Evil Dead, I popped it open...and no..no...I was not ready. The "What's In The BOOOOX" scene in Seven? Forget it. The odd glow coming from the briefcase in Pulp Fiction? Pales in comparison. My friends...today Starz has gifted us with a freakin POP UP BOOK with the car that went to hell and back, a Deadite popping out of a shower and the man himself, Ashley Williams, complete with blazing chainsaw. Yes, I am in the middle of New York Comic Con coverage at the moment (filling up our Flickr as we speak), but I had to take some time to show off this little slice of fried gold. NYCC 2015: LEGO's Nexo Knights

As New York Comic Con opens it's doors on their first day for 2015, fans are now experiencing what we call"geek overload" which is the semi-adult version of a kid walking into a great toy store and being told PICK ONE THING. ANY ONE THING. Amid the men in tights, monsters with 5000 teeth and world stomping robots is a little company called LEGO and their modest announcement of a new toy line, in the form of a lil purple castle. Welcome to LEGO Nexo Knights!

The LEGO Group today announced LEGO® NEXO KNIGHTS,™ a new, original LEGO property depicting a medieval kingdom set in a futuristic world where five young, brave knights “download” special powers to their shields in order to battle the royal court’s evil Jestro and a cast of monsters to restore peace. The story comes to life through LEGO building sets, an episodic television and a digital gaming app that fuels story-driven gameplay. The property launches later this year, with products available starting January 1, 2016. LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS characters, story, app experience and two iconic building sets from the collection will be previewed to New York Comic Con attendees, Thursday, October 8 through Sunday, October 11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (Booth #1436). 

NYCC 2015: Science Channel's SECRET SPACE ESCAPES

New York Comic-Con audiences will get an exciting and exclusive first-look at Science Channel’s all-new series, SECRET SPACE ESCAPES, on Saturday, October 10 at 5:15 PM in Room 1A21. The panel will feature astronauts and space travelers Robert Curbeam, Jerry Linenger and Soyeon Yi with Alex George, Tech Editor for Popular Mechanics, serving as moderator.

The panel will reveal never-before-seen footage and rare first-hand accounts by the people who lived and endured the harrowing near misses, toxic contamination, fires in space, outages and landings gone wrong. In addition, fans will be treated to a special appearance from one astronaut who gives singer David Bowie a run for his money.

New Jersey Getting a Taste of Comic Con

ARK Delivers Flying Dino Battleship and Steam Sale

One of the most ingenious online multi-player games in recent years is about to get a lot more interesting. For those who haven't jumped in yet, you've been missing giant apes wearing hats, rolling dinos, Mammoths, TRex's (naturally), Raptors as far as the eye can see..and my favorite..THE BROOD MOTHER; a giant spider monster that rains her babies across the landscape. You jump in nearly naked and gather supplies for everything from clothing to armor, spears and axes to guns...form a tribe and build a fortress to keep trolls from raiding! They've even introduced a "Hunger Games" type mode where everyone battles to the death with a timer counting down.

After last week’s massive update to ARK: Survival Evolved – with two new climate-specific areas the “Swamp” and “Snow” biomes – the Studio Wildcard team has let loose the newest dinosaur on the island, the massive flying battleship dino “Quetzalcoatlus.” Known to his friends simply as “Quetz” this gigantic creature can safely carry vast amounts of supplies, creatures and ARK survivors from one base to another. NYCC 2015: MTV's Schedule Featuring Teen Wolf and Shannara Chronicles

MTV today announced its New York Comic Con lineup for October 9 and 10, featuring the return of “Teen Wolf” and the highly-anticipated convention debut of the new epic Sci-Fi/Fantasy drama, “The Shannara Chronicles.”  Each can’t-miss panel will feature cast and producers from the shows and the debut of exclusive New York Comic Con trailers.  Additionally, both casts will be signing exclusive New York Comic Con collector’s edition items.  The network also released the first key art image for “The Shannara Chronicles” today.

NYCC 2015: Big Kev's Geek Stuff Announce Show Exclusives

Big Kev's Geek Stuff is a podcast that's been around for as long as I can remember. Instead of rumbling around yelling at the YouTubers to get off their lawn, they are constantly looking for ways to engage the public with creations dreamed up by independent artists, and New York Comic Con has been a showcase for such talent for many years now. 2015 is set to be another excellent showing with art by Rich Page, Taylored Curiosities, George Vega and Brandy Dixon.

NYCC 2015: BOOM! Studios Announces Pre-Show Event, Talent, and Panels

Award-winning comic book publisher BOOM! Studios is pleased to announce a pre-show event, panels, exclusives, and list of talent for the 2015 New York Comic Con, which will take place at the Javits Center on Manhattan’s West Side during the weekend of October 8-11.
