DC Collectibles Batman: Arkham Origins Series 2 & More

There has been so much Batman merchandise on the market in the last year, you could fill up an entire room with it all and NEVER BE ABLE TO ENTER IT AGAIN!! OK slight exaggeration....but only very slight. DC Collectibles is gearing up for the release of the Batman: Arkham Origins video game and, knowing full well how popular their previous collections have been, they are already showing off series 2 a full month before the game sees release.

Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.


...And what they don't mention is the weather. From the look of these costume designs, it's coooooold in Gotham! I pity anyone recreating the Anarchy and Deadshot costumes for convention fun. Sweaty sweaty. Batman: Arkham Origins Series 2 (coming this March) includes...

As a bonus, we thought we'd take a closer look at the last series of figures DC Collectibles teased; Crime Syndicate! Now that all the fuzz and artificial aging are gone from the images, you can really get a sense of how mind blowing these figures are going to be. With MattyCollector backing off from the direct to collector market in the DC Comics category, DC Collectibles has an opportunity to step up and create some killer action figures that will stand in counterpoint to all the companies scaling back on sculpts and paint and, let's face it, blow the doors off of Mattel's infinitely reused super hero body. Let's hope this new level of articulation becomes the norm. So, one more time, coming this March...
