At-At Snow Day

Folks on the West Coast, though they've been getting a little taste of actual seasons this year, still won't know the insanity of all this snow falling from the skies on an almost weekly basis. Our friends in Massachusetts got hit hard, so we are grateful out snowfalls in Central New Jersey were only temporary inconveniences. Today...is another story, as the snow has been falling from the sky since sun up and shows no signs of stopping. Friends across the globe asked to see the snow, so I let the boys out to play for a little bit, as it might be their last opportunity to roll around in the white stuff (as we are promised 50 degree weather next week! Global Warming. WE SHOULD HAVE LISTENED!!) As anyone with a puppy will attest, a moment like this means you break out the camera...and so I did. Enjoy!

Hasbro's Star Wars Celebration V Slideshow

The greatest Star Wars convention in the 12 systems is going on RIGHT NOW, so we thought we'd bring a little bit of the plastic action home to you. Hasbro had their collector panel at the event and ran a slide show containing all the goodness hitting stores now and for the foreseeable future. Those who have seen the slides from San Diego Comic Con will note that this show has some new bits and pieces, so for YOU, we've delivered the info in two ways.

1. is via our Flickr account, where we've posted every slide individually so you can click as you like.
2. is as a YouTube video where you can watch the slides in HD, set to music, and hit pause when you feel the need to drooool.

For those who not well versed in the world of Star Wars plastics but are now tempted to buy their favorite bounty hunter, score the points needed for a Rocket Firing Boba Fett or score a killer vehicle, here's some info behind the pictures...

UK Toyfair: Hasbro's Big Honkin AT-AT Update

No pics allowed, but we have this report from one lucky Star Wars Uber Geek who looked over the new At-AT and raped it with his eyes...

Neck seal is rubber! The head holds 6 figures, I was told, but it was a proto so no opening it. The bum opens for speeder bike. The thing is massive and rocks!! Foot to shoulder is my hand to elbow..so yea.. its BIG!!!

Other Star Wars items on display included a Galactic Heroes AT-AT with Snowtrooper and bike that goes inside and Galactic Heroes Jango's Slave 1. Also seen were new Force Battlers (Anakin was shown), Mini Rip Speeders with launchers and a race track for them with an Octupria Spider droid playset. They also spotted Anakin with a mini Naboo cruiser type vehicle and a Mandalorian on a Speeder (perhaps from the new Clone Wars episode?)

If you've attended the show and were alowed to shoot like the lucky SOB's at Jedi News, send us your goods!!

New AT-AT Pic? UPDATED!

WELP I was wrong. Sources have said this is the genuine article.

I'm going to have to debunk this one. The average floor tile is 16 inches by 16 inches. Now look at the picture closely...

My AT-AT is 20 inches high. Now look at the depth of this piece. It doesn't look big enough to hold everything we talked about here. The design seems a little different from the one in my hands right now, but not significantly different enough to be the beast we are waiting for. Hey, if it is the genuine article, I'll be the first to say I was wrong but for now, i'd say this is not the droid you are looking for.

Thanks to ACTOYS.net for the look!

Japanese Tease a New AT-AT

The boys and girls on the Star Wars boards have been buzzing, but since I don't have time to dig through what's been written so far, I'll throw this bit of info into the ring, courtesy of a bad babblefish translation...

To random the speech in the play (English), the sound gimmick internal organs where action sound sounds. The [supida] motorcycle which belongs inside the rear hatch receipt possibility. When the substance frame side cover is opened and the cable arm for embarkation is pulled out, the scene of embarkation and drop of the character can be reproduced.

There is an issue gimmick in the blaster which is the nose. Using the rope of hatch opening and closing and the lower part hatch internal organs of substance lower part, at - AT sudden attack scene of [ruku] in the play reappearance possibility!

2 Cases Down, One To Go

Built 2 book cases and stuffed them with 6 inch marvel figures and Bowen Marvel Busts. Couldn't decide what should go on top, so I went with a Star Wars Walker Theme. I think it opens up the room a bit.
