Star Wars: The Bounty Hunter Code: From the Files of Boba Fett

Deep in the darkest corners of BookExpo America...far from the steely gaze of your average geek on the hunt, there sat a little black book...plain..unassuming..thin. It was the word Bounty Hunter that caught my eye, and now I'm glad it did! You see, last year at BEA, there was a big display for these super deluxe orgazmo edition books with sounds and lights and enough zazz to fill your zazz jar for 15 years. The Book of Sith slid open like some deflowered ancient Egyptian tomb while the Star Trek Federation book..well...it promised to sound like Sulu when it was all said and done. This year...little, black, almost invisible sampler books. Go figure. Quick note...the best part of this package? The section on "How to Hotwire a Landspeeder". Pure Gold.

BEHOLD!! Star Wars: The Bounty Hunter Code

Jason Chalker's Boba Fink

These days, pop culture mash ups are so common, you've got to really grab the public by the balls to get their attention (not a pretty visual, I know!) With that in mind, what's the one name that would catch the attention of 90% of our readers?

Star Wars, of course.

And amid the vast Jedi infested universe, who's the one jive talkin bounty hunter who you call when you want a smuggler frozen in carbonite?

It's Boba Fett...can u dig it?

Jason Chalker knows full well the power of the Fett and delivers the goods in his newest creation...

More Mind Blowing Star Wars Adidas

A short while ago we blew your fragile little dorkling minds with the full upcoming line of Adidas Star Wars paraphernalia. Now we get word that the crown jewels of this collection are yet to come! Behold the beauty of a full line of original Star Wars Adidas sneaker designs coming this Fall to Adidas Originals shops. Does this mean those awesome Boba Fett sneakers are coming stateside? Looks like it. My estimation is that the edition of the sneakers on the blister card available across the pond is the specific exclusive, while those of us wishing to just wear those most awesome of kicks will be able to get them in the land of cross dressing restaurants and Lady Gaga (which is almost the same thing, but I'm uninspired today. Sue me.) Here's what's on tap...

C-3PO/R2-D2
Han Solo in Carbonite
Jabba the Hutt
Boba Fett

UPDATE:: Adidas PR says the entire line is dropping THIS MONTH so keep checking THIS PAGE in particular, as I'm sure they will pop up there eventually. We are told the sneakers will be available in Adidas Originals Stores worldwide as well as selected wholesalers. The Boba's are going for $130 (which means we have confirmation you'll be able to get them in the states), so earmark that next paycheck.

The greatest Star Wars convention in the 12 systems is going on RIGHT NOW, so we thought we'd bring a little bit of the plastic action home to you. The Two Sides of the Boba Fett Bust Bank

The Fett is a man of many moods. He's contemplative when going in for a capture or kill and he's determined when killing and/or capturing. Diamond Select took all that raw emotion and poured it into their new Boba Fett rotocast bust bank! So far we are getting two color schemes...one from Empire Strikes Back to coincide with the celebration going on now (released as a limited edition exclusive), and one from Jedi with more striking colors. These are not the final paints on either piece, so feel free to pour over them with your Uber Star Wars Geek eyes and let them know what might need to be tweaked in the comments!

The bust bank stands 8 inches tall and should be hitting this December for under 20 bucks!!

So It's only fair I swipe it and repost here, correct? Correct. Not like Starwars.com needs the traffic. I NEED TO EAT!!!

With 2009 year-end figures placing Star Wars 40% ahead of any other toy license, the Power of the Force continues to thrive. New Boba Fett Day!!

You would think that, being a fan favorite, Boba Fett would get a new figure every other day. While Vader and Maul seem to get that treatment, Boba retains an elite status with an update only when it seems logical to do so. Actually, it seems we get a new Fett every time Star Wars figures take a giant step forward. Now that most figures have new joints, better sculpting details and some killer accessories, it was only a matter of time before the Fett got the treatment. This one is an absolute must buy for fans of the character, or even those who just casually collect Star Wars figures. If he were a car, we'd describe him as "fully loaded"! Fett comes with a hand gun and working holster to drop it into, a rifle, removable jet pack and removable helmet to reveal the face that launched a thousand clones. Nice touch! Every inch of this guy is detailed to the nines. Look for him in stores NOW.
