ANYWAYS...Nickelodeon is hitting the show in force and dropped word on their activities and shiny plastics. Let's start with TOYS!! We don't have much word on the booth exclusives (#4113) but we do have a Turtle baddie and a pretty, pretty pixie.

Playmates Toys and Nickelodeon will be debuting a special Comic-Con edition Shredder action figure.  Standing at a height of 5.75 inches tall, the 2013 Comic Con Edition Shredder is ready for battle. SDCC 2013: Toys R Us Exclusives

Building on its tradition of offering an unbeatable assortment of toys for kids and collectors of all ages, Toys“R”Us® has revealed its lineup of nine exclusive items available in honor of its fifth appearance at the highly anticipated Comic-Con International in San Diego, which will take place from Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21. Offered in partnership with Entertainment Earth® at Booth #2343, conventioneers will find Comic-Con merchandise based on fan favorite series, like Adventure Time™, WINX Club®, TRANSFORMERS, Batman and The Walking Dead.

Toys“R”Us will also provide Comic-Con goers the opportunity to be among the first to purchase exclusive merchandise not yet available in stores, such as the BATMAN Adam West Batmobile, MY LITTLE PONY NIGHTMARE MOON and RAINBOW DASH SHADOW BOLT, The Walking Dead Comic The Governors Daughter Penny, and TRANSFORMERS Masterpiece Acid Storm and Soundwave, among others. VIZ Kids Debuts Winx Club Graphic Novel Series

VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), the largest distributor and licensor of manga and anime in North America, presents Winx Club, a brand new graphic novel series inspired by the hit international animated TV series currently airing on Nickelodeon. WINX CLUB Volumes 1 and 2 will be published under the VIZ Kids imprint, and are available now in stores; Volume 3 will be available on September 4th. Each volume is rated ‘A’ for All Ages and will carry an MSRP of $6.99 U.S. / $7.99 CAN.

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 : Winx Club Pixie Swarms Comic-Con

The Winx Club is taking over Comic-Con 2012! Fans of all ages can take photos with Winx Club costume characters at the Nickelodeon Booth (#4113) on Sunday, July 15 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm! Exclusive Gold Edition Bloom dolls will be given away to lucky fans at the Nickelodeon booth at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm every day! Additionally, Limited Silver Edition Bloom dolls will be on sale at the Nickelodeon Booth daily, while supplies last (only 500 available).

Like Taco Bell in Demolition Man, Toys R Us are the last survivors of the brick and mortar toy store wars and while their prices have started to get a little crazy when compared to prices for the same items in other stores, they'll always have a place in my heart...if not in my wallet. It makes perfect sense that the retailing giant would want some sort of presence at San Diego Comic-Con and with the help of Entertainment Earth, they always will!
