Astro Boy Gets Spooky with Seismic Toys
Seismic Toys in collaboration with Gums Productions, has announced a brand new partnership with the legendary Tezuka Productions to produce officially licensed Astro Boy figurines, available for pre-order right now. The figures mix Tezuka’s iconic Astro Boy with halloween-themed monsters for a unique blend of sci-fi, horror, and cuteness.
“Astro Boy is such an important piece of Japanese pop culture,” explains Seismic CCO Alex Rushdy. “We’ve built something totally unprecedented, mixing famous western monsters like werewolves and vampires with the classic Japanese brand. It’s really exciting for us as fans of classic horror and Astro Boy since we were kids. It’s also exciting for us to offer a blind box product at a lower price point than our usual figures.”

Kid Robot's Simpsons Series 2 Figures : Now with Extra Sadness!

If you are a card carrying member of the USA, you love to be able to walk into a store and score the little trinket that has tickled your fancy on any given day. What is the enemy of this freedom? BLIND BOXING!! Usually, this practice is reserved for obscure properties, art toys and other comunist interests, but every once in a while, it is dropped right on our unsuspecting, unprotected laps. Kid Robot is one company that loves the torment. Their series of Adult Swim figures created a world of shelves filled with Moral Orels and Toki Wartooths but barely any Mooninite Death Rays.
