Toy Fair 2025: Playmates Toys Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition

It’s Morphin Time! Playmates Toys will reveal a wide range of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition action figures, accessories, role-play toys and collectibles for the first time at the North American International Toy Fair in New York (March 1-4).

SDCC 2018: Playmates Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figure Exclusives

Playmates Toys, the longtime master toy licensee for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will offer four San Diego Comic-Con exclusive figures that are based on Nickelodeon’s brand-new animated series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Each figure will retail for $30 and will be available from Thursday to Sunday (July 19-22) at Nickelodeon’s booth, #4113.

TTPM 2017 Holiday Showcase: Playmates Mysticons Toy Line

We gave the merest mention of this line at Toy Fair 2017 via images of the wall outside of the playmates booth...and nothing more! While the toy line was on display (in prototype form), we were not allowed to do any shooting, so the toys would have to remain a mystery...UNTIL TODAY! Thanks to the TTPM Holiday Showcase, we've got pics of the entire first round of toys!

Playmates Toys, the innovative toy company behind the monumental success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will act as the global master toy partner for Mysticons, while Nickelodeon serves as the global broadcast partner, including in the U.S. Episodes began airing at the end of August.

SDCC 2017: Playmate's Exclusives for TMNT & Voltron

Back into the San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives files with Playmates who have a lineup of collectibles based on the mega-popular Netflix Voltron and Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series! While the Voltron set can be considered a "sneak preview" (as they will pop up in Toys R Us stores soon), the Nickelodeon booth will only be unloading 350 of the Usagi Yojimbo set at SDCC (with no word of where the rest will be on sale), so expect this one to be a piece folks will be battling over...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie Toys Hitting Stores Early *UPDATED 2/25

There has to be a better way, right? In the history of toy lines made for upcoming films, has there ever been a street date that was a 100% lock? Everyone in the world respecting the street date and maintaining whatever reveal marketing has planned? No? Didn't think so. We have no idea if there is a street date on the side of the boxes for the second modern Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film "Out of the Shadows", but we suspect there is, and it's been blown in record time.

It was only days ago when we spotted the tiniest glimpse of TMNT movie product through a gap in the wall at the Playmates booth at New York Toy Fair, but when we got inside, it was made clear those items were under wraps. The movie studio's plan is to reveal the line at Wondercon next month, right before they hit shelves across the country. Today...some folks are finding them at Walmart. Go Murica.

We had some oddball cartoons on TV when we were kids. One particular cartoon featured a kid who could turn into a car when he got hot and bothered. ...It was a weird time. The fact that humanoid lifeforms transforming into inanimate object is border-line disturbing has never stopped toy makers from using this gimmick for popular characters from comic books, cartoons and movies. Some are instantly forgotten...and some become legend (i'm looking at you Punisher who's crotch is a gun). Just last year, Playmates released a wave of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who transformed into their signature weapons! This year, they went a bit further...

Sweet Suite 2015: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fall Lineup

At Toy Fair 2015, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy fans saw more than a couple of brand new action figures listed as "coming sooooon". SDCC 2015: Playmates Exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 11" Metal Mutant Leo Figure

No doubt, this was the year of BIGGER IS BETTER. Gentle Giant added super sized figures from Marvel, DC and G.I.Joe to play with their vintage styled Star Wars lineup. Mattel continued their Masters of the Universe giants. Now Playmates adds to their massive mutant army with an 11 inch Metal Mutant Leonardo figure from teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, available at San Diego Comic-Con this year via the Nickelodeon booth!

Nickelodeon will be releasing an exclusive Comic-Con Teenage Mutant Ninja figure by Master Toy Licensee Playmates Toys. The TMNT 11” Metal Mutants Leonardo figure will be available in a limited production run, available only at the Nickelodeon Comic Con booth.

This mock-send up of modern comic books is gaining fans across the globe with excellent writing and a gritty art style standing in contract to the silly premise. Hey...maybe one day there will be a cartoon series! ...I keed of course. TMNT is continuing its domination of your children's lives...and a good deal of the adults running past them to hunt the toy isles daily for that damn elusive April O'Neil figure. One look at those isles at Christmas time would tell you all you need to know about the level of popularity here. EMPTY PEGS. A sea of them. The Playmates crew aren't wasting any time celebrating as they charge into 2015 with a full mutations line with two series of action figures and a character lineup that would impress any fan..of anything! Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Movie Figures Arrive

In a little more than three weeks, Michael Bay's vision of a New York City that giant, mutated ass kicking turtles call home will come to the big screens...like it or not! Playmates, the uber masters of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys, take to the pegs once more to bring these film characterizations to life in the shiniest of plastics. Let's take a highly detailed look at most of the basic action figure lineup!

In the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, the character designs push individuality as we've never seen before. You'll note Raphael is stockier than Leonardo, and Donatello is taller than the lot. Thankfully, Playmates have reflected these significant differences in physique with some great sculpts packed with detail. Exploring each figure, you'll find buckles and straps and wrappings and skin texture and a host of other little surprises we haven't been used to finding in a basic figure line lately.

Welcome to January 2014. Every January, Toy Fairs across the planet give retailers a chance to see all the wonderful new plastics they'll be able to sling to you all year long. That said, along with these glimpses at the entire year at one go, there are bound to be MOUNTAINS OF SPOILERS for your most anticipated movies! Hasbro has already drawn first blood with detailed looks at their Captain America: Winter Soldier toy line and a hefty lump of their Amazing Spider-Man 2 merch, without spoiling the complete look of the robotic Rhino or what is sure to be The Goblin...or Green Goblin..or whatever they are running with in the new film...and supplemental Cap villains as well.

Today, some lucky individuals got into a room with the full range of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie toys and one reported back on what he saw. Here's the meat of that conversation...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection Exclusively at Toys "R" Us

Calling all Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans and collectors! Playmates Toys announced today that Toys“R”Us is the ultimate headquarters for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection. Available now in Toys“R”Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com, the Classic Collection features action figures, vehicles and more manufactured from the original molds by Playmates Toys, which reflect the look of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 1980’s television show.

Considered one of the most popular kids’ entertainment brands of the 1980s, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles made a totally epic return in September 2012 with the launch of a CG-animated television show on Nickelodeon and an all-new toy line from Playmates Toys, the driving force behind the global toy sensation for decades. Toy Fair 2013 : A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Preview

The curse of the Yeti has stuck again on this lot...which is to say the toys in this room moved too damn fast for us to get our shots in! Could have been the radiation too. We can come up with a lot of excuses. Suffice to say, what we pulled out of this folder is a little grainy..a little out of focus..and shot at a distance...but as always, we'll take what we can get. After all..beggars and all that.

Nothing earth shattering among the items they had on hand at UK Toy Fair in representation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle kingdom. Playmate's "Ooze" theme for this year has already started to hit stores in the states and you'll find several reviews around the interwebs. Their "Flingerz" (Turtles that shoot discs out of their bellies...adorable) assortment has hit stores as well, right alongside the baby turtles swimming in vats of Ooze. New to me was the Mutagen Ooze Drop Copter...which is just what it sounds like..and the Ooze Cruiser, two more new vehicles that look like trikes called the Road Raider (with an exclusive Leo figure) and the Stealth Bike (with an exclusive Raph decked out in his helmet and gloves) which sort of makes him look like a Road Warrior or a cop (can we get a Village People TMNT set going??!!), and a Pop Up Pizza Playset called....(oh man...I love the designers of this)..wait for it...ANCHOVY ALLEY!!!  The set features trap doors, shooting pizzas and sliding doors.

Toy Fair 2012 : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

MTVGeek (and our awesome friend Lemonjuice McGee) broke the news and now...IT IS EVERYWHERE!! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in a big bad way with a new cartoon looming and a giant heap of new toys which are more than likely to see us collectors disappointing the children when fighting over said toys at retail stores. Let's face it..their arms are under-developed. You gotta be fast. SURVIVAL OF THE DORKIEST!!

The new cartoon will premiere late this year with 26 half hour episodes starring your favorite heroes-in-a-half-shell; Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo with a slightly edgier look to them. Personally, I love it! It's a nice blend of the classic comic style, the old cartoon series and the current comics. Of course, the current pictures of the cartoon look like crazy CGI, making the toys far cooler in comparison, so we are in wait and see mode. Remember how hyped we were for Voltron...and look what happened there. Let's take a look at the toys!

Basic Action Figures : Each Turtle is wearing his signature bandanna and comes with their two core Ninja weapons. A bonus weapons accessory rack is also included. Each turtle figure is uniquely sculpted, with heights ranging from 4.25 to 4.75 inches. These figures have more than 15 points of articulation and are compatible with the new line of vehicles and playsets. They call this feature "Ninja Battle Boost". Characters include Shredder, a Foot Soldier, The Kraang, Master Splinter, April O'Neil and all 4 Turtles.























The Shellraiser! : Built to run either on the subway rails or on the busy streets of New York City, the Shellraiser delivers all the fire power needed for the Turtles to travel together to take down Shredder and the Foot Clan! With entrances on the top, in the front and on the side of the car, up to eight Basic Action Figures can fit inside. The Shellraiser really packs a punch with Ninja Battle Boost technology, including a spring loaded cannon on the top of the car and a side door that automatically opens with the touch of a button, sending kids’ favorite hero in a half shell flying out the side with 360 degree Ninja flip-kicking action, to wage battle on anything standing in its way!

Rippin' Rider includes classic Turtles details and texture, as well as "Finger Flick Missiles" that will destroy enemies on impact. Any Turtles figure will fit on this motorcycle.

Sewer Spinnin' Skateboard features Ninja Battle Boost technology that allows it to perform up to 10 different skateboard tricks (turn around on ramp, bump-n-go action, bump-n-spin action and wheelies!) on a ramp that is included.

Ninja Stealth Bike featuring an exclusive Raphael

Dragon Chopper featuring an exclusive Foot Solider : When ready for battle, simply push the activation button and watch as the action figure performs a 360 degree flip over the handle bars and lands on its feet, ready for battle!




Secret Sewer Lair Playset : Stands 42" tall with three levels, 20+ features and resembles the lair the Turtles live in on the new show. Features include: telescoping periscopes, rope swing and swing-down ladders, zip lines, elevator, Shredder statue, computer lab, doors that open and close, an ooze drain, trap doors, secret entrances and more! THIS WILL FIT OVER 50 FIGURES!!!





Deluxe Power Sound FX Collection : Every 6 months, Playmates wants to release a wave of Turtles with some sort of gimmick involved. This is the first wave! Each of the figures stands 5.5 inches tall and features proprietary wire coil activation in the arms and legs that triggers heroic battle phrases. The longer you pull back that limb, the longer the sound is activated and will not end until released, as in a Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii YA! karate chop yell. Shown are all four Turtles and Deluxe Power Sound FX Shredder.













Ninja Combat Gear : Each set includes the Turtle's authentic noise-making ninja weapon, signature bandanna and two throwing stars.

Leo's Electronic Stealth Sword : 2 ways to play: Ninja Battle & Ninja Training (allows you to practice or battle a virtual foe!) Leo's sword lights up with three different colors: Blue, Green or Red, has a motion sensor to track your movement (Leo trains you!), sound effects and 40 phrases by Jason Biggs who voices Leo on the cartoon.
Classic Collection Action Figures : In the style of the classic cartoon series! Each Turtle stands 6 inches tall, features more than 30 points of articulation and is authentically detailed to appeal to the true action figure collector. The line kicks off with all four Turtles, but if it does well, Playmates is fully prepared to take the line as far as we'd like including characters from the classic cartoon series and movies!













Battle Shell 11" Figures : Only available at Toys R Us, these fully articulated Turtles come with their core Ninja weapons that are stored either on their belt or their back holster, as well as secondary weapon accessories, which can be stored in the Turtles' opening back shells
