HBO Orders Westworld To Series
We live in a time of unlikely projects being green lit. It's none the less amazing when something fairly obscure or just plain geek-cult-famous get's the thumbs up for film re-imagining/re-making/prequeling....and even more mind blowing when a network orders an entire season of something based on a killer concept from my past. Today, this has happened...and that image of a cowboy with a robot face forever etched into your brain will now have NEW LIFE....on HBO.

Black Sails On The Horizon
We've got Vikings and Spartans and medievally folks offing each other whilst waiting for Winter and now, Starz looks to put Pirates on your "must watch" TV list! Say it with me...Scurrrrrrvy...Scurvy is the new sexy.
STARZ today revealed the official key art and two teaser videos for the highly anticipated Michael Bay executive produced high-seas drama “Black Sails,” which will premiere in January 2014.
The pirate adventure centers on the tales of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his men and takes place twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic “Treasure Island.” Flint, the most brilliant and most feared pirate captain of his day, takes on a fast-talking young addition to his crew who goes by the name John Silver (Luke Arnold). Threatened with extinction on all sides, they fight for the survival of New Providence Island, the most notorious criminal haven of its day – a debauched paradise teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers, a place defined by both its enlightened ideals and its stunning brutality.

A Sneak Peek at Spartacus: Vengeance
AKA THERE WILL BE BLOOD FOR THE HOLIDAYS! mUAHAHAHAHAHAHA.When he’s separated from the love of his life, Spartacus is forced into the gruesome and bloodthirsty arena, where a grisly death is primetime entertainment. Spartacus must fight for survival, befriend his enemies and play politics in this new world of corruption, violence, sex and fame. He’ll be seduced by power and tormented by vengeance. But his passion will give him the strength to prevail over every obstacle, in this modern and uninhibited tale of death, honor and endurance.
...And that was just season 1.
On the heels of the bloody escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", the gladiator rebellion continues and begins to strike fear into the heart of the Roman Republic in "Spartacus: Vengeance". Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to Capua to crush the growing band of freed slaves that Spartacus leads before it can inflict further damage. Spartacus is presented the choice of satisfying his personal need for vengeance against the man that condemned his wife to slavery and eventual death or making the larger sacrifices necessary to keep his budding army from breaking apart. Containing all of the blood-soaked action, exotic sexuality, and villainy and heroism that has come to distinguish the series, the tale of Spartacus resumes in epic fashion. Here's a peek...
After watching this..I feel....this is a chick flick, yes? Lots of burly shirtless men. I also am reminded of a line from one of my favorite TV shows, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, where they say any scene without dialogue was considered for slow motion. Oh yes..there will be CGI blood.
Spartacus: Vengeance premieres on STARZ Friday, January 27th at 10pm ET.

Things I Saw On TV Past 10pm
- Enough Girls Gone Wild commercials to make it feel like you went on a real date.
A commercial for Liftits, which seems like an unfortunate mistake in product naming until you realize they also created Concealits and Tapeits. All products are boob related, with Liftits being a tape that goes around the nipple and tacks central boob to upper boob for maximum "perkification". They actually wrote Perkification on a website, but I copyrighted it...so its mine now. I like that in the before and after pics, they look like they were listening to a story you told and now..they don't believe you.
- A cowboy on Comedy Central sang a song that made women and jiggly men show their boobs...and they actually showed the boobs. There's a boob theme happening here. I may have been relocated to Europe..or my TV was.
A reality game show that took a pack of geeks, made them shave their heads, put on war skirts and paint their faces and then tested them on their knowledge of the God of War video game series. Soon after, just like spiteful Gods, they forced the dorkle (which is the term for a pack of geeks) to climb a wall and run. Very, very mean. The show was called Last Titan Standing. It should have been called "guy who knows a lot about God of War and ate the least peanut MnM's." I PROMISE you the second this is embedable, we'll have it here.
