STAR WARS!! Chewbacca and Darth Vader kick off Build-A-Bear's customizable plush offerings from a galaxy far, far away (cuz the mall is never close). Both include a sound chip for effects from each character and Vader comes with his Lightsaber that lights up. Light up plush confuses me...and I don't know why. These new squeezables will be available this week, so be on the lookout.
We asked if this means there would be plenty more Star Wars characters to come, including the inevitable tie ins to this holiday's "The Force Awakens" movie release, but our press rep was tight lipped ...but all smiles! I'm going to take that as a repressed yes. Here's what's slated to hit stores at the moment...
Risa, Viv and Teegan and members of the pop musical goup the Honey Girls...like some science experiment crossing Jem with Tailor Swift and the Country Bears Jamboree. Actually only one is a bear, while the others are a cat and a bunny, but they are all pastel colored and with instruments in hand, are ready to rock....if you are into that sort of thing! My first impulse when I see stuff like this is to run, but i'm positive this has an audience...somewhere...among the stars. BAB even has sound chips you can add with fully produced song clips, so they aren't playing around!!
Already available but new to me were MINIONS!! Yes..they are everywhere...and you probably have to deal with their little yellow faces for at least another few months as they infiltrate holiday shopping before dissappearing until their next movie. Store shelves never emptied of the little suckers from their Despicable Me 2 appearance, so in truth, they may never leave. EVER. Staurt, Bob and Kevin are ready for the Minion loving person in your family and at Build-A-Bear, I suppose you might soon be able to put them in a Darth Vader mask with a Chewbacca sound chip and screw with all your friends. FUN!

I'd like to know more about the white reindeer standing with the Santa's Workshop Reindeer from last year. Any info? She's adorable, I have to have her!
