Fringe: September's Notebook – The Bishop Paradox
Any time a project with the name Tara Bennett attached comes across my desk, we take notice. We instantly know the book will be jam packed with so much geekiness for the show's minutia that even rabid fans will find things they didn't know. While this new Fringe book proves to be just as geeky, it is a horse of a different color...

Yes, We Have No Death Stars
Back in November, this happened...
By focusing our defense resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense.
34,435 people signed it.
And today...
Official White House Response to Secure resources and funding, and begin construction of a Death Star by 2016.
we petition the obama administration to:
Secure resources and funding, and begin construction of a Death Star by 2016.
Those who sign here petition the United States government to secure funding and resources, and begin construction on a Death Star by 2016.By focusing our defense resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense.

And today...
Official White House Response to Secure resources and funding, and begin construction of a Death Star by 2016.
This Isn't the Petition Response You're Looking For
By Paul Shawcross (piggies added by Paul Nicholasi)The Administration shares your desire for job creation and a strong national defense, but a Death Star isn't on the horizon. Here are a few reasons:
- The construction of the Death Star has been estimated to cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000. We're working hard to reduce the deficit, not expand it.
- The Administration does not support blowing up planets.
- Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?

Say You Love Them...With Meat
Whilst perusing the isles at the center of all New Jersey civilization (ie; Walmart) to see what new pop culture tie ins they've come up with for the Valentine's Day season, I came across the most unique food item I've ever seen outside of a Japanese grocery store. I should restate. It isn't the food item itself that is super unique...it is the presentation. On Valentine's Day, we immediately think of pinks and reds and flowers and boxes of chocolate. Welp...Jack Link's Beef Jerky know their fan base and have packaged their delightful meats especially for this overly smooshie holiday, allowing you to give the most treasured of all gifts....The Gift of Meat. Not only can you give your meat gift with undeniable love (thus the heart box), but it seems they've added an element for those of you hypnotically clicking away on facebook all day to the agonizingly cute pictures of fluffy animals.
You can pet the box.

Black Milk Tease Their Hobbits
Among all the things that make it difficult to be a Lady Geek in the world we exist in today...resisting awesome but expensive geek fashion has to be high up there as one of the worst day to day activities. Black Milk can be listed right along Satan as a leading tempter of humankind with their Star Wars dresses and leggings and when they announced they'd be venturing into Lord of the Rings/ Hobbit territory...you could call them downright evil. Today we get a sneak preview of what you can expect from the line...which is probably exactly what you thought you could expect...
See..guys only get tempted by fairly cheap dorky T shirts every day and MAYBE the occasional phaser burned red shirt tie from Anovos. Weep for your sisters! Only through solidarity can we make it through. We shall overcome....hobbit dresses.

Remember Me : Nilin vs Kid Xmas Vid
Neo-Paris. 2084.
Personal memories can now be digitized, bought, sold and traded. The last remnants of privacy and intimacy have been swept away in what appears to be a logical progression of the explosive growth of social networks at the beginning of the 21st century. The citizens themselves have accepted this surveillance society in exchange for the comfort only smart technology can provide. This memory economy gives immense power over society to just a handful of people.
Remember Me is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities have arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society. During the course of the story, Nilin will start remembering who she was and re-learning all the fighting moves that made her one of the world’s leading memory hunters.
